I'm new.  Totally new to taking better care of my face.

I'm 40, so some lines are starting to appear (on my forehead mostly) and a few around my eyes.'

I need a whole new regimen.  I'm currently using L'Occitane's Immoretelle Brightening Cleanser.  And it's alright...it gets my face clean and all.  But I dunno...it just doesn't feel like it is helping my skin any.  I use DHC oil cleanser to wash off my make-up and it works okay, too.  But I just feel like I need more.  My moisturizer is whatever is laying around...I have a ton of samples and I just use those.

So, I'm not really committed to anything so far.

I have large pores on my cheeks and my skin is normal, no sensitivity with any product that I've found.  I do get a little dry patch right between my eyes, which bugs me.

I also have some pigmentation issues from vitiligo that I have mostly on my hands but a little on my face.  They aren't too bad and easily covered with make-up.  But that skin doesn't seem any different or react differently than the rest of my face.

So...suggestions?  I don't even know where to start.

I'm also currently unemployed, but I do have some money set aside for purchasing some new skin care products.  I'd also really prefer to shop in stores...we have drugstores and Sephora and a couple of malls nearby but not a really close Ulta.  So I'm open to drugstore brands with a few dollars to spend on a few fancy things at Sephora/makeup counter.

I've included a crappy iPhone pic if that helps any...make-up-less and hair pulled back...not my best moment....LOL!

Thank you for any suggestions you might have!

Are you looking to switch up everything and are you using an exfoliating treatment? I'm stuck on Boscia and Philosophy purity made simple for my cleansers at the moment. Still working on a HG moisturizer, though, lol.

I'm open to everything.  Change is good for me, I think.   :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I'll use up what I have but I'm not sure what else I need.  Like, wrinkles?  Eww.   Hide!  Deflect!  Cover!  Spackle!  Bondo!  Something...LOL!

No exfoliating treatment...think that would help?  Masques, too?  IDK.

I think I need it broken down like I'm a kindergartener.

I really love my skincare products and they were all recommended from online beauty forums and they are natural products. My skin has never looked better and easy too. I use The Dream Product line, which is made by a small women-owned company and so many of the products are only about $10, but in my opinion worth way more because of the nice results I have gotten.  Now my 48 year old daughter and her 16 year old love them too. I like recommending this line because you work with the owner/creator and she really works hard to help you get the products best for your skin . Thanks, Dolores

To be able to cure temple facial lines or to slowly their preliminary beginning, you should know what causes them to appear, what can be done to avoid them, and what treatments are available.
