I broke down and got my fine, straight hair permed and now I feel that I look like Rosanna Rosanna Danna...not a good thing if you don't know who RRD is. Anyway, I can use a flat iron and that helps, but I'm in need of a good heat protectant product. Any recs? Also, besides Prell or combing through perm solution are there any other methods out there to help curls relax? Thanks!

I know who that character is and I'm so sorry to hear that it turned out so bad. I wouldn't use Prell (to drying) or comb and solution through, your hair might break off. Janelle will probably have better advice but I wouldn't even use the flat iron, try heavy gel and let it dry naturally for a least a few weeks and use lots of conditioning treatments. Give your hair a chance to recover.

I had hair break off after a bad perm and it wasn't pretty.

You just got curls, why straighten them? lol :icon_wink I know who RRD is... and I'm sure you're much better than that! lol -- But, they will relax on their own soon. You can use heavier conditioners, pull it in a pony... (Gently!) or a headband. For a heat protectant, I like Biolage Heat styler or L'Oreal's new products for heat styling. Also use a leave-in conditioner, pick (don't brush!) curls, and you should be fine in a week or 2. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
