Could you please recommend me a day and night face cream that contains only natural ingredients (doesn't have any artificial or synthetic ingredients) and can be applied on very sensitive, acne-prone face? I am 28 and still have problems with my face :-(

Jojoba oil seems to make me break out .. Is that possible?

Thank you in advance!!!

I really like Korres products, which are all natural. I'm not sure which cream would be exactly suited for your skin, but I like and use the Rose cream and the Alpine Herbs stress cream (which I read was good for acne-prone skin above 20). Take a look at Korres natural products and then you'll find the ingredients and recommendations under "products".

Or maybe you could recommend me some oils that don't make you break out? I am thinking about walnut oil....

What do you think?

Veilchen, thank you very much for your immediate reply! I will tak a look Koress products. They sound very promising for me! Thank you!!!

I guess you could try the body shop or lush, they're both natural, and they're mainstream too so they'd be easy to find. They have a jojoba oil night/day cream which looks nice

You could try coconut oil, olive oil or even vaseline.

BTW, there is no such thing as a natural cream - they contain chemical preservatives so they don't go rancid.

Always read the fine print or have a pharmacist help you understand what is in these "natural" creams.

Just what I was going to say.
Lush and body shop are not natural, Lush are handmade. All their creams contain synthetic preservative, which is a necessary evil I'm afraid. You can find brands without parabens in but they will still have a chemical preservative. I'd rather use that though than a cream that is not properly preserved, the germs and bacteria you can grow in lotions & creams is disgusting (and dangerous!!). I've seen the greebies growing on something I made before and that had preservative in it - it was scary!!

Have you tried dermalogica? I think their products are fantastic, they have something for most skin conditions.

Thank you for your valuable hints!

I have used olive squalane and grapeseed oil, both work well for my combination skin

You only need 3-4 drops for your whole face. I got a huge bottle of grapeseed oil [i think 24oz] at the grocery store for like $5, I pour it into a little dropper bottle so it's easier to use. I'm planning on trying camellia oil sometime soon as well.

It seems my skin has an issue with moisturizers, because none seem to work well for me. They either break me out, don't moisturize enough, or make me too oily. Since I started using oils my skin has been behaving much more

I am using Weleda. their web site is ..... weleda.com

Here in Canada, I can find their product in organic health stores. sometimes you can buy it on ebay or online stores. I'm using WildRose day and night cream and love it. Some of the lines are not available to all the country, like almond lines are available in Europe and Asia but not in North America.

Check the web site. I hope this helps.

Coconut oil?!?!?!?!? No way! That stuff would cause a nightmare for someone with acne prone skin.

I don't have acne prone skin but my little sis does. I got her the AHA creme from a site I've been buying alot from -xxxspamxxx they advertise it as 84% organic and the ingredients are very impressive.

There's stuff you can do with essential oils, but you really do need to know what your doing or you can just make your skin alot worse. I don't have the time to make my own stuff, yet I love the idea of products that are handcrafted and made in smaller batches. It's what drew me to BP's stuff in the first place. I've bought alot of stuff there and have been really pleased so far. (so, uh yeah, I DO tend to go on about it.....laughing)

When you talk about grapeseed oil or camellia oil are you saying that's all you use, you don't mix it? Are these just for night time?

Thanks

Kris

Hello,

Thank you for your advices!

I've also heard that coconut oil can be strongly comedogenic (pore clogging) so it is not good idea to put it on your face when you are acne prone...

Take a look at this chart (it says that coconut oil has high clogging probability!)

Non-Comedogenic Chart
