Not sure what forum this belonged in lol

I'm hosting our church spa night at the end of June. I'm keeping it pretty basic - manis/pedis & possibly facials.

I need some basic product suggestions - I thought of going all natural, but our church is very small  with no kitchen to mix things up or anything so I'm probably going to stick to less expensive drug store products.

Suggestions?

I need the following:

Foot soak

Lotion

Nail Polish

Face cleansers/moisturizers... possibly a mask/scrub

Ideas? I'm on a limited budget.

When I had looked on reviews of masks, I found that some of the cheaper brands (Queen Helene and Freeman) actually got fairly high reviews.  Both of them are under $5 I think, and 1 bottle should last your entire party.

The last time I went to a spa, you know what one of my favorite parts was? The fresh cucumbers she put on my eyes.  It's so simple and cheap, yet the smell of fresh cucumber and the cool feeling it has on the face was really nice.

Thanks for this... I might just do the cucumber thing! I also plan on using warmed rice bags too and aromatherapy candles.

thanks for the info about the masks... I was planning on having one tube for each skin type: dry/normal/oily ... and having just a gentle cleanser available for those with sensitive skin.

It doesn't have to be very elaborate - just being with the girls and playing spa is so much fun.

Stock up at the dollar store for items you'll need - Qtips, cotton balls, files, alcohol, nail clippers, etc.  Walmart is also a great place to find inexpensive products.

You can also get buckets at the dollar store for soaking feet in warm water.  Lavender scented soaps are great for soaking and mint scented lotions are great for foot messages and leg rubs.

Girl it up with tables covered in pinks, purples, and whites (dollar store plastic table covers) to decorate the area and help protect the furniture underneath from possible spills, etc.

Thanks for the tips! I love the idea of table coverings... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I think I'm actually going to see if I can get some make-up to play with as well ...  I know its not the highest quality, but its just for fun. The girl who used to run these had a slew of MK samples to play with and I remember it being so much fun.   Everything we get is going into a tote so we can use it for the next spa night (unless its something messy like a sugar scrub)   I'm trying to keep it as streamlined as possible so that it will be something we can repeat. Because our church is so small pretty much everyone has a job to do and its easy to get burnt out.  Spa nights are a great way to get in some relaxation & fellowship in.
