Hi Everyone.
I need some curling iron help. I have naturally curly hair. I have always been happy with it but I wanted to try using a curling iron to create more "formal" curls...you know dressier. I bought a NuMe Reverse curling wand and have used it a few time and like the look I get. That said, I seem to have a real frizz problem, especially on top.
Here is what I am currently doing:
1. Wash hair - Shampoo/conditioner - sulfate free.
2. Towel dry and brush out my hair.
3. Twirl it in a bun and go to sleep.
4. In the morning, it 99% dry. Let it finish air drying.
5. Spray it with Tresseme Heat Protecting Spray and brush through.
6. Flat iron my hair to take the natural curl out - not stick straight but enough to get most of the curl out.
7. Let it cool.
8. Curl hair.
9. Finish with flex hold hairspray.
Should I be using some other product or is there some technique I am missing?
Thank you for any advice.
(Oh, I have super healthy hair as I have never used heat on it prior to these curling attempts.)
