Hello! So I have recently decided to go blonde with my hair. I went from a dark brown to a golden blonde and I absolutely love it. The only problem is that I notice some strands have that stretchy, elastic effect and I have never experienced that before. Also, it appears as if some I am having some type of breakage at the ends. It looks as if my hair is snapping sometimes. I have been told to alternate between a moisturizing treatment and a protein treatment, although I'm a little afraid because I have heard that protein treatments can be damaging as well if they are done too often. I have just accumulated so many products now that I need some guidance to make an effective routine out of using them. I really want to achieve hair that is strong, sleek, and not so frizzy looking. I'll list the products that I have down below. I appreciate any advice you guys can offer and if you also have any recommendations to other products, please let me know too! I love trying out new products as well. Thank you!

Once your hair gets to that stretchy, elastic phase there's nothing you can do but use products to help minimize further damage. Been there, done that when I went from my natural black hair to blonde. My hair was mush, brittle, stretchy, elastic mess. Don't use heating tools since it can contribute to more breakage. All you can do is use a deep conditioner and hair masks along with warm water instead of hot. The pores and cuticles in your hair are damaged and can't be repaired so don't believe all the hype on this product or that being able to fix it. Think of it this way, it's like pouring bleach on jeans then expecting fabric softener to fix the damaged jeans, it's just not going to happen.
