So I´ve been getting the sugaring method done (landing strip) and to me it´s a lot less painful than waxing. My waxer said not to shave in between appointments though, she said once you shave the next time you wax it´s going to hurt like it did the very first time.

I´m not sure I quite believe that to be honest. I kinda don´t want to spend the money on an appointment right now, so I´m tempted to shave cause I hate getting hairy

From my experience, it's true.  If I wax or sugar and keep doing it the pain lessens and your hair growth really slows down and gets thinner.  But then if I shave the hair starts coming in thicker again and it's like the hair folicle somehow becomes stronger and it's harder to rip out.

I've been trying to use an epilator on my underarms and legs.  I tried to do it after shave re-growth and the pain for me was just too much.  So I waxed everything first, then used my epilator, and there was almost no pain.

That's the hard part of waxing, you have to grow your hair out a significant and noticeable amount to wax again. Whenever I get some cash together I plan on getting that Tria system, it has gotten great reviews and it would put an end to the hair removal cycle.

ugh, I´ll have to pay for it during my next appointment then. I don´t wanna pay for an appointment right now, but I can´t be hairy for long so I´ll just shave

I googled it, and it's a home laser removal system.

I never tried anything like it, but i was watching a medical show, and the journalist was pointing some elements that made me think maybe it's not that great.

It's a laser, so that means it has to be calibrated correctly, or you might get burnt, and how to check if it is, and how to check if it is still calibrated after a few months of use ? It also has to be easy of use.

The other thing is, using it once won't be enough, you would have to use it during months until all hair growth has been stopped.

There is also the cost of the system, which can be high.

It's sold on QVC and has tons of great reviews and product information on there.

I've read reviews and they soynd promising. I think I'm going to use next years tax return to buy it, because it's costly, but well worth it. Imagine all the money that will be saved by using this.

It's true if it works, you can save lots of money during the years to come.

I've been trying the sugaring method Andi mentioned, and i think i like it more than wax, and it's not very costly, it just involves sugar and water, and lemon juice. If i didn't suck at making caramel i would do this myself, instead i buy it premade, but it's still less costly than getting waxed.
