today, we had an event. shiseido came in and she had her machine. i'm not sure what it's called (forgot to ask), but it gave me a skin analysis. there was a small monitor and a "stick".

she put the stick on my cheek and i saw my skin was dry cuz i saw lines. she put it on my nose and i saw my skin was oily there, so i'm definitely combination, which i always had a feeling i was. my nose, though, WOW! i saw so many blackheads and told her to take it off the screen hahaha she did my eye, too, and i saw lines.

then, we did the sun damage test. oh, my god. when she first showed me, i wasn't sure what to think since i wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like, so she put the stick under my chin where the sun doesn't hit and wow. HUGE difference. the underside was almost white, whereas my cheek had SO many red dots on it.

think nacho doritos

today, i'm whipping out my winter-time moisturizer, eye cream, toner, and serum. it was a huge wake-up call, especially since i've been neglecting it so much lately.

Oh I had one of those face things done at a health fair. I almost fainted when I saw the sun damage. I thought my skin was in pretty good shape for my age and the amount of time I spent in the sun when I was younger.............I was wrong. Scared the hell out of me.

My mom had one of those and she had some damage but the person doing it told her that it wasn't too much at all considering she's in her 40s.

I need to stay far away from one of those machines if it ever crosses my path.

I hear ya.I have been out of eye cream for awhile.Ive been too sick to work so I got broke and had to go to Walmart and pick up their brand $6.48.I couldnt even afford Olay.I noticed today that I had so many flakes in my eye area and my brows...gross.

That machine sounds terrifying. Like looking into a magnification mirror times a hundred. I don't think I'd want to see all my imperfections that closely!

I'm just thinking how scared I'd be to see mine up close... it'd be great to know if you are combo for sure, etc. i'm curious to know if my skin is really sun-damaged bad though.

I should do it, but I know it's gonna show stuff I really don't want too see!

maybe if I get the courage, I might do it... yeesh..

I've never seen one. I'm kind of curious now, but scared at the same time.

I heard about those machines... There are many different kinds. I think I would not have enough courage to check my skin, although I am very curious.. I know there would be some serious damage, even though I am very careful now and I have been using high spf for over 3 years... but all those years of sun bathing without any protection when I was a child, a teenager and then young adult... I wish I had known back then!
