My Skin Is On Fire

I was giving myself a facial and used my new mask post steaming. Maybe the combination of the two was tooo much. Every where the mask touched, is bright red and hot as hell. I tried spraying cold water for a while, but its still radiating heat. SOOO HOOOOOOOOT!!!! THe mask was a natural mask, and Im scared to use anything else on this. I dont know what to do, I am scared to put anything on my face. what do i do???????????????

I forgot to add that its not sore to touch....if that means anything.

Oh my goodness, i'm so sorry! Hmm, maybe try some aloe vera or calendula. Chill it first and then apply it.

I only have sweet almond oil..willl that work?

It could possibly be too strong together, or an allergic reaction. Generally applying milk will help counteract such effects.

Prior to applying the mask, what did you use? It could very well be that the active ingredients in the natural mask are incompatible with the active ingredients in the stuff you used for your facial. I suggest letting your face rest for the day and applying some alcohol free aloe vera gel. Good luck!

i ended up using aloe and La Roche-Posay cicaplast, which is for your face after a peel. My face seems fine today, infact the areas that are ususally red in the morning ar e less red today. Go figure!

Aloe vera helps with sunburns so I would try that.

Not swollen or anything....it seems fine today. Im thiking it might flake in a day or two though.

I agree with the yogurt. I have tried it before and it makes my face nice and soft and felt really cool. If it's going to flake try mositurizing with vaseline on a damp face.

Glad your skin is okay. I always like aloe vera gel for any kind of burns.
