My new prescriptions

My derm tells me i have mild acne...not serious enough to have to take oral antibiotics. I'm already on Yasmin BC so that should control my crazy hormones. She put me on differin cream for nighttime and duac for spot treatment in the morning. Any tried these with good results?

Well I tried Bio...something. It comes in a white jar like bottle and it burns if you stay tooo much in the sun, you also have to keep it in the fridge. Then at the same time I was using Avita for night and this combo worked wonders for my skin!

I've never had any pill, or prescriptions for skin before so I can't really comment.

My acne is more than mild but not severe..

i've used differen, but it did nothing for me so i had to step it up to tazorac

thanks, dear...how long were you on differin? my derm tells me that it takes 4 weeks to work (personally, i'm not that patient..but i guess i'll wait a bit). also, she put me on duac for spot treatment....is tazorac working for you?

I am prone to clogged pores due to my oily skin, but not true acne (which requires the presence of a certain bacteria). Differin worked pretty well for me and I used it for a while, but then my dermatologist switched me to Tazorac and that worked better! Now my skin is still oily but with fewer clogged pores, and over-the-counter products are enough to keep most my blemishes away now.

But of course, everyone has different skin, and different medicines work better for different people! So hopefully those medicines will work for you!
