My new 'do - pic inside...and more questions

I got my hair cut on Friday. I had posted here earlier a bunch of possible 'dos. This is the one I ended up choosing. First pic is a link to the 'makeover' photo:

My hair wasn't quite long enough...the top layers need a couple more inches before I can to the exact cut, and I can't stand anything in my eyes so I told her to take the bangs up a bit. I still haven't decided on color (was thinking reddish brown...my current color is a bit to 'gold' for me) I also need to work on styling it a bit more to get more volume and texture, but the basic shape is there.

Thanks for all the help...I'm still taking color suggestions....

Also, any product suggestions to get the above look....volume & texture? I have a lot of hair, but it's fine....so it takes some work to pump up the volume!
