Alrighty. Here's my attempts at doing my make up. I think they all look bad. I think my foundation is too light. You can see every pore and wrinkle in my skin and it looks incredibly dry, but its actually really oily by the end of the day. My eyes either look too bland or too bright. I kinda like the pink lip gloss. I dunno, I think I just look blah or Hey!! Look at my eyeshadow! lol!

Critique me ladies!!! Good or bad is welcome! I'd like to get the hang of this without looking blah. Reccomendations on color choices and products are welcome!!

I use cheapie stuff... Cover Girl foundation, pressed powder (out of loose), mascara, blush(rose silk, not in picture) and eyeliner (black and espresso). Wet N Wild eyeshadow pallets. I can't see paying for the more expensive stuff until I learn to do it right and choose the right colors.

11.06's make up is all the green eye pallet and brown eyeliner. The only difference between 11.07 and 11.08's make up is on 11.07 I used espresso eyeliner and filled in my eyebrows with that, and used all the colors from the sand looking color pallet. 11.08's make up I didn't fill my eyebrows, and used black eyeliner and the two top colors of the sand looking eye pallet and the light green on top of the other pallet for the crease.

So watcha think?? Honestly!

Thanks for the compliments! You gals don't think the green is too bright? Hubby came home from work that day and did a double take on me and I asked him how it looked and he says... "Too much green." I kinda liked that one though.

I think if I get my skin in better shape my make up may look smoother. I'm struggling to find a cleanser and moisturizer that doesn't make me oily and break out. I think it may be the foundation making me oily. I have no idea... after I was my face it feels tight, but during the day with my make up on its so oily. Any suggestions?

I think your makeup looks good, and wow you have really pretty eyes! Yeah it sounds like your face is getting oily throughout the day to compensate for being stripped off all its oils when you wash it. I used to have that same problem before I switched to a more gentle cleanser (mario badescu enzyme cleanser, available online or in some nordstroms I'm told). And I use neutrogena oil free moisturizer for sensitive skin. I like it because it's really light, and it absorbs quickly so I don't have to wait ages before I apply my primer and mineral foundation; and it makes my skin feel soft...and if you can believe it even keeps me from getting too oil throughout the day.

I like the green actually

I like the more neutral one too but I know what you mean about kind of blending in more.. why don't you try a slightly darker brown at the outer corners when you do a neutral eye?

I think it looks really nice - I really like the lip product, very pretty

Thank you! I'll have to look for the cleanser! Thanks very much for the advice!

Thank you! I tried a the darker brown in the above pallet in the outer corners, but you can't really see it (today's picture) so I'll have to hunt for a darker one next time I go shopping. Thanks for the tip!

Today's make up! I like this one! Posting pictures is actually a great help to look at yourself from sort of a different view, if that makes any sense. I think I need my foundation a shade darker to even my skin tone a bit.

I think u do great alreayd and yes this site will teach u tons... your eyes are insanely beautiful

I love your eyes. I think you should shades of browns and that would really look pretty against your greenish eyes.

Thanks! I like earthy tones, so I will pick up some more shades of brown. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Any suggestions on colors that would go well with my eye color? I like purples and greens, but would love to be able to choose some brighter or more bolder colors. I have a hard time choosing since my skin is so fair. I don't wanna look like its Halloween! lol! Or a hooker!
