.. can anyone please give us an idea about it? like what do we need before going to the beach? and for how long should we stay? etc.. we have really fair/golden skin..

aslo, i got this moisturizing sun lotion with spf 12 i dunno if thats what im supposed to be getting or not.. & i also got a tanning lotion..?! i dont know what its exactly used for though! LoL

I would recommend at least a spf of 25, you don't want to burn. You can apply your spf and then layer it with a tanning lotion. Remember to protect your eyes, reapply after swimming, and in fact reapply throughout the day even if your not swimming.

Other items to take to the beach: sunglasses, magazines, a chair, or a large towel/blanket. music, water, snacks, and some people like to wear a large brim hat to prevent their scalp from burning.

I'm sure that I'm forgetting something but this is what comes to mind.

Definitely use an SPF of at least 30, or higher. I wouldn't recommend laying out for more than 30 minutes the first time. Without a doubt no longer than an hour. Be sure to reapply the sunblock about every 30 mins. too, and especially after swimming. As for a tanning lotion, I'd recommend Hawaiian Tropic or Banana Boat. Oh, No AD is awesome too! I prefer that over Banana Boat.

You'll want to take towels, lounge chairs, books/magazines, sunglasses, sun hats/visors. Something light to eat, like snack foods... A cooler, drinks... Maybe something for music... It helps me to write a list of everything, and then check it off as I've made sure it was packed... Although, I've still managed to forget my toothbrush at times (when going on a vacation) *lmao*

i think the most important thing is protection like everyone else suggested above....

i also find that going in the water gives me a better tan than just laying out. someone told me once it has something to do with sun reflecting in the water and bouncing back on you....

also, just know that some people just don't tan as well as others. some just end up getting burned.....
