ok since fall is here my eye area is being really dumb. no matter how thick an eye cream i use my eye area doesnt seem to want to be hydrated. it gets so dry the past few days that when i put any eye cream on it stings really bad. ive been using the thicker one i use at night for the day time as well.

this happens normally during fall (grrrrrr), but does anyone know how i can stop this from happening. cause it really does hurt.

What eye cream are you using? I think you might need to try other eye treatment that is stronger and gives your eyes more moisture in fall and winter. It's like what I and some people do....skin turns drier in fall and winter so I switch around brands to feed my thirsty skin.

i have been putting a thin layer of jojoba oil on before my eye cream (mario badescu). it seems to help it absorb better and faster and doesn't sting my eye area

I'd say make sure your skin is still a bit moist when you apply the product so that it'll absorb in better. Also consider a product meant for sensitive skin. I have the same problem around my nose and the only thing that finally made it go away was moisturizing the heck out of the area day & night, consistently. I use a toner w/some essential oils in it, then pat on a hydrating "booster" containing hyaluronic acid, which is supposed to help increase the amt. of moisture your skin hangs onto. Then I use a thick cream meant for dry, sensitive skin and massage it in slightly, day and night. I'd recommend starting to use an eye cream with a bit more moisture when you know it's getting close to the time your eye area decides to rebel to try and head it off.

MAC Fast Response is great at hydrating my undereye area! You might need to switch to a different eye cream in the winter that's especially for hydrating the under eye area in the cooler months.

i almost gave up on eye creams since NOTHING was helping it..

desperate...i put on vaseline overnight..and my eyelids are NO longer dry

I have the same prob my eye area always looks dry and I already have fine lines (laughter lines) and Im bloody 16!!!. I just keep it moisturised with a light eye gel (which I find isnt too heavy as creams can be) and I keep the area protected to during the day.
