My epilator arrived!!!

I got the Emjoi OptiMini:

for 49 even off of Drugstore.com - it arrived TODAY. Im so excited that I actually epilated a bit of my arm at work (yes I did). It's so small and cute!! Anyway- anyone else own one and if so - any suggestions or advice?? I had one years ago and it gave me AWFUL ingrowns so I stopped using it. I know that exfoliating before you use is suggested. Do you exfoliate with a loofah or a scrub? I have eczema so my skin is very sensitive and exfoliating will make it worse.
