My comments on John Frieda's SECRET WEAPON Frizz-Ease

Hello, today I got myself one of these things and I must say I am totally AMAZED at the results... My hair used to be very dry at the ends, I had a total mess with the flyaways and it gets even worse after shampooing because the frizz increases... Well, I applied a small amount of this product when my hair was soaking wet and I applied it evenly to all my hair and then brushed it as usual (I always leave it as straight as possible because that's the way I like it).. then I let my hair get dry in the air and I noticed that my hair had gotten a little bit stiff (like when you have styling gel) but DON'T WORRY, that's part of the process. What this stiffness does it that it will let your hair dry straight and will actually STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR (yes, it really does straighten it, almost like a low-end straightening iron does which really helps). Once your hair has totally dried, you can brush it with your FINGERS to remove all the stiffness and once all this stiffness is removed you will find your hair COMPLETELY FRIZZ-FREE, smooth very straight and actually HEALTHY LOOKING and feeling like it has recovered all its NATURAL OILS.. I am totally amazed and no wonder it's called SECRET WEAPON! :clap

Here's a picture of my hair after I applied this product, you will think that I have naturally straight hair but I don't... I wish I had taken a pic before applying it so you could compare.

Here's another one... It does look a little bit too OILY but that's because I think I should apply a little bit less of the product... As you can tell my hair is very STRAW LIKE and the texture looks bad but that's because it is so overly dry but I must say this product made it A WHOLE LOT BETTER. As you can see there is almost none flyaways and it does look very straight..

SECOND DAY USING THE PRODUCT

Hello again, This is my second day using John Frieda's Secret Weapon and I am loving it even more... This time I applied a little bit less than yesterday as I noticed it weights down my hair a little bit and looked kinda greasy.. This time I think it is perfect. Completely removed ALL the frizz, left my hair STRAIGHT as if I had used a professional IRON, it is very shiny...

All I can say is WOW.

PS: I forgot to mention that this product has WHEAT PROTEIN which helps hydrate dry hair... You must be thinking that I work for the company LOL .. Magikal, looks fantastic! JOHN FRIEDA products ROCK !!

I use all 5 Frizz Ease steps. I go through a lot of serum, about 8 pumps to do my locks but it is SO worth it ... the amount I use of the other four steps is a lot less. Secret-weapon is amazing, a half dime size amount fixes any stray flyaways or dry ends, and I have a lot of hair!

The wind down relaxing cream is awesome for going straight. A few times a day I run my fingers through my hair from underneath and the stuff almost re-activates, I mean my hair gets smoother and straightens again with my fingers. Hopefully that makes sense.

On a side though, I could ditch the shampoo. I think when my present bottle is done I'll go back to some other kind but keep the other four steps.

Not sure what stores you've got .. but here in Canada I was buying the stuff at one of our large drug stores ... well, recently I found it at Superstore, some of the stuff is $5 less but most of it is $3 less per bottle " )

I got the secret weapon at a drugstore it was around $5... they had the frizz-ease shampoos there too but I don't think I'm going to get them as this thing weights down the hair a little bit anything "additional" will weight it down even more and we don't want that to happen. I think I will focus on searching a good shampoo that will help with the dryness as my hair is very straw like right now and once I take care of that I can imagine how great this is going to look.

I agree with you, as soon as my hair gets a little wavy I just brush it with my FINGERS and it re-activates and gets straight again. It's awesome.

My mom looked at my today and asked what had I done to my hair as it was looking so healthy I just said.. "it's my secret weapon" :icon_smil

Yes, John Frieda products are the best! When my hair was permed, this was my HG hair care line. The products for African American hair do just what they imply. They calm frizz and smooth very well. I expecially liked the shampoo and serum. These products are not expensive and are always on sale buy one get one free at CVS.

Up here I pay $7.99 Cdn. a bottle for shampoo and conditioner and $13.99 for all of the other bottles. In US that's about $6.80 and $12.00.

Guess I know what I'll be looking for next time I cross the border " )

Re: shampoos - will we ever win that battle? I'll probably go back to AG, but I have no idea why, really I can't tell you one thing it does that is any better than any drug store shampoo

really big john freida fan here also! i use the silicone gel and secret weapon daily. my hair always looks bouncy and hydrated. never sticky or greasy feeling. do you guys realize that this is one product that people with any type of hair can use? amazing product line!

So do you think this product will work on hair that is already straight, but looks dry and straw like???? I hope it won't make it look too thin and greasy!!!

I think it will definately work. I think you should try and see how much you would need to apply so that it won't weight it down too much.

It won't make it look too thin or greasy. It shouldn't cost you moe than $5 so why not give it a try and let us know how it goes?

PS: This is the BEST I have used for dry straw-like hair. You won't be able to tell it's dry.
