I have been considering ordering the murad acne complex kit for some time now, but would appreciate any testimonials both negative and positive for there products, specifically ones for acne prone skin. Please help. should I purchase this? Is it worth the money? any before/after pics would be helpful as well.

Hello

My acne was quite bad and flared up before i used it...and i must say it helped a GREAT deal. It burns when you first put it on (which gives me a feeling of satisfaction). It really cleared up my skin, but i love experimenting so i stoped using it and tried other things like Proactiv (which i didnt really like). Now that my skin has worsened again, i think im going to go back to Murad. Just make sure you use all four products in combination. Definitely worth a try IMO.

Hope this helps!

my cousin has horrible acne oily skin like me... and though proactiv didn't work for her (it does for me), she switched to murad.

a few months later it didn't work for her anymore, and she ended up spending a ton of money on trying to fix the damage >_<

thank you guys for your responses!

lainey, did it work for a few months then all of a sudden stop? and was the damage that occured from murad?

i used the clarifying cleanser in the mornings and aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser in the evenings to remove my makeup. i got through a tube and a half of the murad before it started to dry my skin out pretty bad. when i started using it my skin was quite oily and acne prone. imo it worked very well for me at the time that i needed it, i just reached a point where it didn't work for me anymore.

I've never used this, but like you I was considering it. I did a basic search and got horrible reviews about Murad. Do a google search yourself and see. I went with Exposed Skincare. This is what I'm using now and it has completely cleared my face. I have just spots from past breakouts, but no current acne. Proactiv worked ok, but it just didn't give me the results I wanted, ecspecially for what I was paying. I hope this doesn't get taken off for advertising, I just wanted to share it since I've had so much success. www.exposedskincare.com. It's a little steep, but you get a lot for the money. Everything you need, plus extras, like a microdermabrasion and derm cloth. And they have a one -year guarentee, you can't beat that! Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you.

Thank you sooo much Kam, I really and truly appreciate your post, and all of you other guys as well! I am going to check out the exposedskincare line and do a little research. I too tried proactiv--- went through two cycles of it, and it really didnt work for me at all. ( I went through a second time in desperate times hoping and praying that it would work for my that go round but alas it did not. just dried my skin out) anyway thanks again.

OMG! I went on goolge and searched for reviews for murad, and I am really shocked. I am glad I did this before ordering! servral reveiwers reported that murad made them break out and worsened there acne, turning mild breakouts to cystic! man maybe I just dodged a bullet. I mean I know everyones skin reacts differently but sheesh.

I have been using Murad for 3 days now and I already see a difference. I have terrible skin and nothing ever seems to work for me but Murad seems to be doing the trick! No breakouts..I am very impressed so far.

yes my cousin was pissed at murad.

she definitely blames it as she had changed nothing else.

she got terribly worse after using it.

The acne kit as a whole is WAY to strong even for resilient skin. I think the gel and spot treatment are good to keep, but the cleanser needs to be replaced with something more gentle. Their moisturizer is good too. But the cleanser has got to go!

i tried the acne kit. it burned my skin badly. my skin is just too sensitive for it. it did clear my pimiples, tho...lol

One of my best friend has tried the acne products and she said it got her skin alot worse then it was before. You should always check the reviews before purchasing any products. This site really hepls a lot.

I never bought the acne kit but I do use the clarifying cleansing and the spot treatment and they work just fine for me, but then again we all have different skin.

I actually purchased it last summer and although it irritated my face and made it hurt really bad, I endured the pain and it cleared up really well. It made my skin dry out really bad but most of my acne was gone. I stopped using it though and my face broke out again. I have tried a lot of other things in the past too and murad seemed to work really well.

i LOVE it .. a few weeks ago i started using Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion by Clinique & i was also using this Neutrogena face wash/mask and after a few days of using the Clinque my face got all read and puffy and dry and really itchy it also burned so badly -- so i want to sephora and told them my problem and they told me to try the murad acne complex kit even though i had no acne and i was like ehh idk if i should use this? and i did and i LOVE it my face is so soft and smooth and maybe once an a while i used to get a pimple but i get NONE now i recommend it
