So ladies, we all know that when we find that one, really great, gotta-have-it fragrance, our billfolds or our men sometimes tremble in fear at the hefty price, carried by it's price tag. A lot of us feel like our perfumes are a piece of our personality, who we are or as Marilyn Monroe said, "What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No. 5, of course."

So, what's the most expensive fragrance you own or have ever owned? How much was it, and where'd you get it? I figured we could keep it like this to keep it looking nice:

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned:

Price:

Where'd you get it?:

I've owned several different perfumes, but I try to buy when they're on sale and with a gift card, so most of my perfumes were bought at a much cheaper price. I'll go first:

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned: Christian Dior: Jadore

Price: $80.00

Where'd you get it?: Elder Beeman

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned: Probably Dior Poison in the late 80s. The original one that now smells like rat poison to me but somehow smelled good at the time.

Price: 40/50 (that was expensive then lol)

Where'd you get it?: A former bf

I have only found one perfume I truly adore and it isn't expensive. Most HE scents smell terrible to me or give me headaches.

Will always and forever be my Juicy Couture...the real parfum $300.00 and I never regret buying it.

So jealous! The most expensive one I've actually paid for with my own hard earned money was Dior Addict 2.

Another one for Dior!

Dior is taking the lead, I think--for me it was my bottle of Miss Dior Cherie, probably L'Eau. I think that was 80 bucks. But I love love love it!

I can't remember the prices I paid for them, but either Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker or Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue - I remember getting them at a discounted price, so they weren't too expensive.

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned: L'Artisan Mure et Musc

Price: $150ish for 100ml

Where'd you get it?: Barneys

This will be replaced by Amouage Lyric, which I'll hopefully get on Sunday.

I'd say Thierry Mugler's Angel, around $150.... and then $110 for Thierry's Alien.

All my Dior perfumes were on the more expensive side. So was my Stella McCartney.

I bought most of them myself... my bf bought me all of my Dior perfumes. I am a Dior perfume fanatic. LOL!

Ralph Lauren "Romance". I can't remember exactly how much I paid. I have to be really careful with perfumes because I get really bad headaches from a lot of scents.

Hmm, I would have to say with my smaller budget the most expensive would have been Chanel No 5. I love it but yes, $110.00 per bottle is like groceries for 3 or 4 weeks for me! It's sometimes hard to justify :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Ooo I used to have that too... loooooong ago lol

Wow! I have mostly just tried all of the dior ones (except Romance, No. 5 and Angel).

I simply must get a sample of Juicy Couture and L'Artisan Mure et Music!

Dior J'adore, at Sephora, back when it used to be an expensive but still affordable perfume. Now it's 100€ for a bottle, ridiculous !

I think my most expensive bottle right now is Vivara from Emilio Pucci, around 80€ but it was a set i bought for Christmas (one way to justify the price of your perfume is to wait for the Christmas sets !! It doesn't cost so much if it comes in a travel makeup bag with a small shower gel

).

I got a sample of Chanel n°5. It smells good in the bottle (although nothing really original, Chanel fans forgive me) but on me it turns rancid (if that's even possible). Not for me.

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned: Organza Indecence

Price: $65

Where'd you get it?: at a fragrance discounter at the local mall.

I wish I still had the gift set I bought then... Indecence is like $100+ everywhere I've looked recently.

The most expensive perfume i've EVER owned: Chanel CoCo Mademoiselle

Price: about 90.00

Where'd you get it?: it was a gift

The most expensive one I have bought myself was my Givenchy Very Irresistible which was around 80.

Clive Christian Perfume is claimed to be most expensive perfume for it costs worth $215,000…why do we spend so much for a bottle of perfume.

The most money I have spent on a fragrance is $230 for V&R's Flowerbomb - a spontaneous retail purchase. It was 150ml though so it was actually a good buy.

Another Ralph Lauren fan here...

My go-to for evenings out is Lauren... has been since FOREVER I think... I first applied it when I was 14 (swiped my sisters) I'm not even sure if its available anymore - I've had my bottle now for about 10 years at least... its almost gone. The smell is not quite what it was but its still smells great to me.  I would have to say my most expensive purchase was Romance - the perfume when it was first released... I had major buyers remorse over it. I never ever wore it and then I ended up giving it away.

I usually wear Dior Pure Poison, depending on the size and where you can find it it's usually $50-80.. which is a ton to me, I'm a cheapster. It does last me a good year, though. I usually splurge on it as a Christmas present to myself.

I'm living on Bath & Body Works body sprays right now. Coconut Lime Verbena ftw!
