Hi, Im after getting some new mositurizer but have a problem.

I have an combination/oily skin, mainly oily in the T zone and I usually use Clinique' Moisture In Control to handle the oil but I've also been using products for oily skin to help it more and over the past few weeks my oiliness has gone.. and I've noticed it becoming normal with some dryness.

I dont know if this is due to the weather or my products have worked too well! and Im unsure if to carry on buying moisturizer for oily/combo skin or go for moisture to work for the dryness I have now??

Thanks for any help

HHHMMM...good question. With the weather being so cold my skin is much more drier that it usually is. Usually I'm oily. What I have been doing is using my oil controling moisturizer on my forehead and nose, chin where I'm oiler and a slightly heavier moisturizer on my cheeks where I'm drier. That is what is working for me. You might try a different moisturizer than your using and only apply it once a day over your entire face like in the morning and then at bedtime just where your drier. I would suggust just expirmenting an see what works for you.

Good idea, I'm always getting free samples from Boots so I'll give em a try.

Usually when Ive found a decent product I'll stick with it, my oil control moisturizer is a little pricey but always done the job, Ive been currently trying the Clinique Moisture Surge and its done quite well, Not sure If to buy a full size of this or carry on with oil control and see what happens, I think I may try moisture surge before bed so my skin has the moisture in for the next day.

:satisfied:

I like to use MK OIl-Free Hydrating Gel over my moisturizer whenever I'm feeling dry. It helps me out.

Hi,

Excellent advice.

Spot treating is a great technique.

I found that the less crap i pile on my face the better! apple cider vinegar is awesome as a toner,,, and take it internally.. i read that your liver was a culprit of bad skin.. and it was posted.. sounds weird.. but do a liver flush or a few of them ( curezone.com ) after flushing out all the toxins.. my skin totally cleared up!

i have combo skin and i use moisture in control in the summer only, it dries my skin out in the winter.

i have to use a more moisturizing products in the winter.

i really like the idea of spot treating! great advice! i use the same moisturizer year round. in the summer i use less and in the dryer months i use more.
