I have very dry skin, but I don't use very much lotion on my face because all of them seem to have spf in them now. I hate the way lotion with spf smells. Even if they smell ok at first, the smell of the sunblock eventually is really noticeable.

But I really do want to start protecting my skin from the sun, so I was wondering if anyone knew if there are any moisturizer products with spf that you can't smell? I've had no luck so far.

I don't have dry skin, but as a general recommendation, I would say you should be using moisturizer as part of your regular skin regime (my favorite is Clinique's 3-step system, which comes with cleanser toner and moisturizer formulated for your skin type) morning and night, with SPF on top of that. Are you looking for straight up sunscreen/sunblock, or primer?

We are having a discussion about sunblocks to wear under makeup here, if you are interested in checking that out (though it is geared towards someone with oily skin, but that shouldn't make much difference since you're looking for overall sun protection

Do you wear a foundation?  Foundations have spf so you don't really need a moisturizer that does.

I quite like Olay's Complete Sensitive SPF30, as well as LRP Hydraphase UV30. Neither have any noticeable scent, from what I can tell...

LRP Hydraphase doesn't have a scent, i used the normal version but LRP in general doesn't add scent in the moisturizers, i'm quite sure about that one.

I know Avene also has SPF15 in the moisturizers, but i could never make them work for me so it's all about trial and error.

Personally i use a regular moisturizer and a separate sunscreen (which i apply before, for maximised potency and because it sinks in more quickly that way). Some primers and some foundations also have SPF in them, so it's all about your daily routine. If you apply makeup daily then probably using one product with spf is the simplest routine, if not then use a separate sunscreen.

Try MaryKay TimeWise Day Solution with SPF25!! I use it and I sell it so I stand by it. It doesn't have that sunscreen smell!!

check it out out (spam removed). Any other questions about products especially for dry skin contact me there or here!!

I like the Olay Regenerist SPF 50 moisturizer (don´t have the exact name on hand), but it may be too light & not moisturizing enough for your dry skin. I have very oily skin, so I have no clue what to recommend for dry skin

I always pick a higher SPF moisturizer because, due to my oily skin, I simply don´t use enough of the product (as you should) to get the SPF on the bottle. If I would use the recommended teaspoon full on my face, my skin would look & feel greasy and shiny. So if I use an SPF50 and just use less I eventually end up with something around SPF25 on my face (rough guess)

^ and this is the reason why a foundation with SPF alone more than likely is not enough protection, simply because we all want our foundation to look natural, so we use as little as possible (which is never the way to go with sun protection!)

I use ORIGINS Vitazing with SPF 15...it is a genius product and it can be a tinted moisturizer too!

I agree with everyone too. There are a lot of foundations with spf if you want to go that route. I use Yes to Carrots Moisturizer with SPF. There's no sunscreen smell (at least not for me) and I think it actually smells great. Either way, it quickly disappears once you rub it in! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Link if you're interested: http://bit.ly/carasmith
