Moisturisers..Help!

I've been using Neutrogenas Pore Refining Moisturiser for about a year now and after putting it on each morning my skin would look oily and shiny after only a couple of hours. Only when I go on a night out clubbing or to a bar I use Simple Rich Moisturiser and this doesn't make my skin look oily or shiny it's great.

-I've got it into my head that after a few weeks of using the same moisturiser my skin would become "immune" to it and not absorb it aswell and just sit on top of my skin....is this true?

I think that it just depends on the person and their type of skin. I've known girls who've used the same skin care line for all of their lives (and it still works for them), and then I've known the girls who've had to constantly switch around because nothing ever seems to work steadily. I guess it's one big trial and error process, as with most products.

I've had great success with MK Oil Control Lotion as well as MAC's Oil Control Lotion. It might also help, if you're not already, to ensure you're using a cleanser that assists in mattifying the skin.

I think the Neutrogena moisturizer might be too oily to you, so how about switch over to other oil-free moisturizer?

When my skin was oily I loved Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. There's also a lotion but I wouldn't ever go near that.

C.O. Bigelow Exta-Light Oil-Free Face Lotion is awesome for oily skinned gals. It's been my HG. leaves my skin matte all day

I was using acen products for awhile and kept breaking out. I finally just decided that the problem was that I was trying to take the oil out of my skin so much that it was working over-time to produce more. I do use the Neutrogena Pore refining cleanser every night, but don't use the moisturizer. If I use a moisturizer, I use a light one like Fruit of the Earth's Vitamin E or Skin Milk's Facial moisturizer. These are very light and work perfect for my sesnitive skin.
