Would MINERAL OIL in skincare products CLOG THE PORES

so please if anyone knows the answer please tell me

Thank u so much

you should not use products with mineral oil because it may infact clog your pores up. skip it. dont use any products with petrolatum either.

I really wouldn't recommend it, even if you do have dry skin. It's really good for eye makeup removal though.

I wouldn't use it on my face. Maybe on your body, but I don't like oily things on my skin - except tanning oil...

Is that why I keep doin that? * hAcK.......I use Guerlain's Super Aqua Serum which has some mineral oil in it-- and I LOVE IT! But living in this dry-nasty-toilet called Denver...if you are a white person --you have to do something---cuz the white gals here are wrinklottapusses from not slathering with Crisco and Wesson.

I've read many times to stay away from it, and I've also read that it's safe for the skin. So it comes down to if it works for you

if your skin is breakout prone, i'd just limit my use of mineral oil and petroleum jelly.

IMO it's all depend on your skin type and conditions. Because I heard that some people don't have problem with product with mineral oil ingredients in it, while others avoid it because they believe it clogged pores.

Anyway if you worried, just don't forget to exfoliate regularly to avoid pores clogging.

How do you know if there are mineral oil in your products? I use bioterm products which contain oligo-mineral. Is that considered mineral oil?

No, Oligo Mineral is not mineral oil. You can check the label for every product and find Mineral oil ingredient in it. These are also Mineral oil: liquid petrolatum, Paraffin oil, White Mineral Oil and Nujol. You can check other names for Mineral oil, here.

I use Johnson's Baby Oil (which is pure mineral oil) on my body, but never on my face. I don't have a problem with products containing mineral oil though.

I don't think it's necessarily a problem unless you find yourself breaking out etc, Vaseline is one of the BEST things you can use on your face in terms of anti-wrinkle products!
