Hello! Since reenlisting into the military, I've apparently developed a rapid decline in facial care and health. I used to have  a very clean and smooth face. Between the 1-2 times a day shaving, occasional peak stress weeks, mediocre diet, humid air, and long days.... I seem to be getting pimples, blemishes, and a few other things each month now.

My most recent issue, was a huge red bump that came out of nowhere. It appeared to be a developing zit, but it never turned into one. It just turned into a very hard, painful, large bump RIGHT between my eyes. I found that it was some form of a cyst and seems to be going away on its own.

I also get these tiny little bumps all over, particularly on my jaw line, and around my smile lines / forehead. They never really develop into anything severe but they're there.

I've been doing plenty of research but I love going to forums for catered responses and information. What are some good facial care things you ladies practice to keep such great looking faces? Daily regimes? Weekly? Diet? Any information is helpful and will be taken to heart.

-Thank for your time!

Hi! First let me say, thank you for your service. A few months ago I got my husband a three piece set from clinique for men with sensitive skin that included a facial scrub, a shaving gel and after shave balm and he was very pleased with the results. It also sounds like youve gone from a humid climate to a drier one. I would suggest incorporating an oil free moisturizer as well. Hope this helps and take care!

I'm proud to meet anyone that has served their country!

If you get another cystic pimple, you can always go to a dermatologist (if you can access one).

They can do an injection into it, which will promptly deflat it.

If you get red bumps/ingrown hairs from shaving, mix one aspirin with a drop or two of glycerine (4 oz bottle will set you back about $3 from any drugstore) and a few drops of water.

Mix the three into a paste and apply - its suppose to work relatively quickly.

If been recently using a toner - 4 oz witch hazel and 10 aspirin mixed together into a small bottle.

Witch Hazel is about $3 in any drugstore. Aspirin should be uncoated for both "recipes"

Shake really well before you apply the mixture onto your face, with a cotton ball.

Helps with breakouts.

Make sure you use a decent sunscreen of 30 spf every day! Maybe Clinique has a sunscreen, if you get the set that Jean recommended.

Let us know if you try our suggestions...

Jean - I'll soon be in Hawaii, when I get there I'll that set and see how it works for me. I'll let you know how it goes.

Dragonfly - I read up on the Cystic Pimples and dermatologists and will go to one the next time it happens. The aspirin thing seems to work great for the bump / ingrown hair thing. One thing I ended up doing is taking a q-tip and and putting the Witch Hazel on immediately after a good shave and it appears to reduce damage significantly.

Thanks, I'll check back.

Great tips from Dragonfly!!  Can't get much simpler than Witch Hazel and asprin and cost effective!!

I tried a Clinique 3-piece facial treatment set, and I'll have to agree that it works wonderfully. I don't use the shaving set however, just the "acne" treatment, which seems to keep my face clear of both blemishes and shaving issues.

Thanks! I'll be stopping by more frequently should any more issues arise. I'll be going to a new climate / area here soon so we'll see. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
