I am in desparate need of a good basic cleanser. I am currently using linda sy mild oatmeal cleanser but it is anything but mild. Before this I was using spectrojel but did not like the smell or the butylene alcohol in it. Please recommend something!

I agree w/Ivette - cetaphil is a great gentle cleanser

I use Serious Skin Care's Glucosamine line from HSN or you can also find some of the products at Ulta stores. I have been using it for about 4 years now and LOVE how it makes my skin feel.

I wanted to use cetaphil in the past, but it has SLS in it which is irritating so I need something else

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser, Olay Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser and Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser are all very mild.

Doesn't Dove make a mild cleanser now too? I can't help you myself, but it seems as though the general population votes Cetaphil!

I use Dove's unscented beauty bar and it's perfect for my skin. You might want to try the sensitive version. I believe their bars are SLS-free. Also, check out Kiss My Face products, they're all organic and relatively inexpensive.

do you guys know if any of those products use soap? if they do than i definitely can't use them. I know Cetaphil doesn't but I can't use that one.

Kiss My Face's Clean For A Day Creamy Face Cleanser (phew, that's long!) is soap free. I'm not sure if the Dove stuff is, but I don't think so.

L'oreals cleasing gel, and it's soap free, and you wash with water. I have oily and sensitive and acne prone skin, and my skin loves this thing...

I use Cliniques Mild Facial Soap, I have sensitive skin which is allergic to most products but its fine with this!

i use jojoba oil mixed half and half with castor oil - i love it! best thing i have ever used for my oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. takes everything off of my face; makeup, oil, everything.

I agree on Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser, I've used that for a long time, just be warned that it doesn't remove makeup well so you might have to just use it in the morning.
