I think its nuetrogena's but its $40 at drugstores and i was wondering if they are really worth the money and use...and if there is something better then that one.

There were some posts in the past that it was not great. I use Epidermx which is real good Epidermx II Microdermabrasion Pro-Treatment. I also use their camellia oil. These stuff have made a HUGE difference in my skin, so good that I can do without foundation - first time in years.

I've posted about this on several threads, I think. I've read several reviews (check out drugstore.com), and it seems that the people who have liked the product are older ladies with dry skin.

I got the Neutrogena kit as a gift, and was excited to try it. However, it broke me out really badly. After a while I tried it again (trying to fade scars), and it was worse. Only after several professional microdermabrasion treatments has my skin gotten better.

Also, you probably will have to keep buying the replacement sponges (mine wore out quickly) and the crystals. These are $15 each if I remember right.

I like the ROC Dermabrasion kit but I'm not sure if its available in the States or what price it is. Sorry thats not much help is it? It suits my skin but I am probably a lot older than you and I don't have any problems with breakouts. Just thought I'd mention it.

I want to get a microdermabrasion kit but I'm not sure which one would be best. I did buy one at Sally Beauty once but didn't like it so I returned it. It was one that the little sponges had sticky stuff on them and they never stuck to the applicator.

I may try the ROC brand.

Thanks for all your good information

Kris

There is an olay one that is microdermabrasion and a peel in one. Its supposed to be a knock off of the philosophy microdeliverypeel which I use, and is very good. I think its about $30 but not sure since I am in the UK :S Once my philosophy runs out, I will try this one, or Epidermx II which is actually cheaper than either of these..

..ok here you go :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Buy Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System Online at drugstore.com

I tried that Olay one but it didn't do anything for me, and in my opinion it's more like a scrub, feels like sand. If you have sensitive skin you probably won't like it.

Thanks for all the info

a couple of days ago i saw that (dove) i think, has a kit thing out wondering if anyone has tried that..i'll have to check again to make sure what brand it is

They do have ROC in the US i saw it at walgreens

I just started using the new ponds micro derm kit. I really love it, and it's only about $12! :rockwoot:

I tried using Neutrogena Microdermasion and it save my sun damaged skin. Pretty expensive but its worth the money:)

I really love the microdermabrasion set from Neutrogena. It made my acne prone skin sooo much better. I use it about 3 times a week.

I have the Pond's Microdermabrasion kit as well and really like it. I actually was walking through the Christmas Tree Shoppe (a Northeast store) and saw it for $6.99. I grabbed it not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Large tub of it as well.

How do you use microdermabrasion scrubs? do you just use your fingers and do you use it on a dry or wet skin? Also should it be used after cleanser or before?

I use the Garnier one and I really like it. I wouldn't really call it microdermabrasion, more a very rough scrub. I love how soft it makes my skin feel and how nice and soothing the lotion that comes with it applies after.

Marisol did a whole post on the one from Mary Kay she experienced, and she was right on! The Mary Kay agent demonstrated it as a part of their free facial and I was impressed. It was like $50, but what a transformation it did for my skin. Find a MK agent in your area and get the free test drive. I doubt you'll be disappointed...

I saw one of these machines at walmart for $8:

It has interchangable sponge head and a bristle thing. Would that be used to do the microdermabrasion and are those really necessary or would fingers work just as well?

hmm, i would tend to think if it's provided it must be necessary, maybe it would scrub harder than fingers ?
