Hi everyone,

:sleepyhead::sleepyhead:I thought I am not looking as young as I looked some months back; I discussed about this problem with one of my friend. He advised me to go for microdermabrasion procedure. But I have many questions regarding microdermabrasion procedure. I found there are many treatments for the skin problem. Microdermabrasion is that helpful with my skin problem? I m hoping you can help me?

There are many, many threads about microdermabrasion. If you try doing a search I'm sure you will find some helpful information.

hope this helps...i just wrote this post yesterday:

i feel like i just got the best inside scoop ever...ahha! i just found out what scrub madonna uses....i haven't gotten it yet for myself yet, but i figure if she uses it (and it's not like she doesn't have great skin and is not aware of everything on the market and wouldn't use the most effective)...it's tracie martyn enzyme exfolient..it brightens, tightens, and smooths out wrinkles..and i think she also said it's all natural.

i just looked it up online....yeah, it is.

p.s. this isn't just gossip - my neighbor was her stewardess on a private jet hire just on her way to africa...haha!

----------------------------

i just got it today...it's amazing! ..you can call in an order at barney's in beverly hills where i got it from, otherwise, i am not sure where else to get it..

I am deeply involved with a research on skin improvement treatments. Various refined techniques are now available for wounding the skin damage and promoting new skin growth. Every one has many questions regarding the diff. treatment of skin care. It depend upon people to people that which type of skin problem he/she has and how much he/she able to afford for the treatment. Before take any treatment on your skin this is good that you have knowledge of good & latest information on the skin treatment. Microdermabrasionadvice.com is the good site which gives the good info on skin treatment.

Hi,

I would also speak with a dermatologist or a medical esthetician regarding microdermabrasion.

Hi everyone,

You asked for the information of microderbrasion procedure here i give u some info on that, hope it will help u.

Microdermabrasion, an anti-aging skin treatment, is gaining popularity for its ease of operation and the benefits that it offers. There are many benefits of microdermabrasion. Its procedure has the potential to meet a variety of your cosmetic objectives like the improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, acne, scars and stretch marks.

It is also known as "sand blasting."The process uses a high-pressure stream of aluminum oxide crystals to superficially peel the upper layer of the skin.

Most procedures of microdermabrasion use units which are closed-loop negative pressure systems that pass aluminum oxide crystals into the skin using negative vacuum pressure. Some procedures use magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate crystals while others use sodium chloride crystals and positive pressure for microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion treatment of acne scars requires more intense and aggressive treatment with more passes and more rounds of microdermabrasion treatment to get the best results. Similarly raised or deeply pitted skin areas (possibly from old severe acne scars) and darker pigmented areas require multiple treatments.

There is some Limitations of Microdermabrasion Procedure like it cannot be advised for those who have heavily damaged skin for which a more aggressive approach like a laser or a deep chemical peel needs to be tried.

Microdermabrasion is not able to remove tattoos, neither it is able to remove acne scars which are very deep down the skin. Similarly undiagnosed lesions, recent herpes outbreaks, warts, active, weeping acne (stages 3 to 4) and active rosacea are the skin disorders that cannot be treated with microdermabrasion.

Lastly microdermabrasion procedure is not suitable for patients who have had any type of facial rejuvenation procedure or treatment such as Botox injections, collagen implants, or chemical peels within the past 3-6 months.

I have tried using Neutrogena Microdermabrasion kit and it does wonder for my sun damaged skin.

I has a micro done a month or so back and was so disappointed. I am not sure if it is the way it is done cause I felt very rushed by the girl. But all she did was run a sucky thing over my face. Took less than five minutes. I left there not even slightly pink. So I dont know where the abrasion part comes in. I kept asking her if that was really all there was to it. So ask a lot of questions before you do it.

There were more micros to my package yet to use. They let me trade one for a chemical peel. I wish I had peeled more than I did (I just flaked), but at least with that I did see a bit of a difference and will be using my last micro on another peel to use them up since I dont think I would waste my time on another micro, unless like I said maybe I didnt have it done correctly.

i used to do micro every fortnight before i started on roaccutane. i cant wait to go back onto it.

its good for smoothing the texture of the skin, treating fine lines and evening the pigment of the skin.

for acne scars and deep wrinkles, it isnt that effective, as it would take many treatments to deal with these problems. but for my acne scars, they are definately smoother than when i began. its a long process.

it is basically a very deep exfoliating treatment. you will need to use sunscreen and avoid the sun the next day, and not wear makeup for several hours. i used to do mine in the evening so by the morning i was ready to wear makeup again.

i really recommend it to try; some people like it, some dont. i loved it...
