I moisturise my skin from time to time and although a man, use Nivea, the original one in the blue pot, rather than Nivea for Men.

The male version is far pricier.

Is there really a difference?

Is it simply the same cram in a different package?

I wasn't even aware the Nivea in a pot wasn't unisex? Anywho, if it seems to work - I wouldn't worry. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It´s definitely not the same. The one in the pot is thick and has an incredibly basic formula. It´s probably more suitable for use on the body or if you have very dry skin on your face.

The Nivea for men skincare products I´ve seen (I have a few male friends who use it) is cosmetically more elegant, have thinner, lighter textures etc as most men usually tend to have oilier skin and don´t want a greasy shine left behind from a heavy moisturizer like the original Nivea cream in the blue pot. Skincare has come a long way since the original Nivea cream was made (and from what I have read the ingredients are basically still the same as back in the days)

I agree if you like what you're using and it's working for you it doesn't have to specifically be for men, that may be more of a marketing gimmic.

I make moisturizer for myself and my husband.  Men's moisturizer vs women's moisturizer is a marketing ploy.  Different scent to attract men vs women (citrus/woodsy vs floral)  Use whatever works for you.   Its a moisturizer, no one really knows you aer using anything at all unless you become their spokesperson.
