Can anyone recommend anything to make hair smell nice. Like when you've had your hair dyed. I can still smell the dye on my hair and I've just dyed my extensions and washe them and they still have that fresh dye smell. Is there anything I can use to make them smell nice but nothing too greasy. I've tried those coconut oil sprays and altho they smell nice they make my hair abit greasy looking Is there anything else out there I could try?

I've dyed my hair for many years. I have found that some dye brands have a much stronger smell than others. And that the dye smell can linger until I wash my hair - 3-4 days.

What helps is shampooing your hair right after you have rinsed all the dye from your hair.

Then apply the conditioner and rinse that after a few minutes.

Once your extensions have been dyed, wait 3-4 days and washed them again.

Then try a fragrant oil, as Reese suggests.

Using a good smelling hairspray or leave-in conditioner could help.  Even a strong smelling shampoo and conditioner could linger in your hair.  You may have to experiment.

Also, try spraying body spray / perfume in your hair.

2 products that I know work for sure.

Suave Coconut conditioner:  I wash my hair with conditioner everyday and everyone can smell the fresh coconut in my hair.  I never noticed until people started asking what I had on or noticed that I smell like coconuts.  Now I've used all of the cheapie conditioners and they all leave you with a fresh scent, but they don't last all day like the coconut.

Bath & Body Works conditioners: This will have your hair smelling good for real.  I only tried the warm vanilla sugar conditioner and I was smelling like I bathe in the stuff.

I also mist my hair with body spray.
