My four year old daughter is starting ballet and is obsessed with a bun in her hair like a ballerina.

I just watched another you tube video however, I don't want to tease and hairspray her hair for a 45 minute ballet class.

The problem is that she is 4 years old her hair is shoulder length and thin or fine like mine so when I put it in a pony tail it is flimsy looking.

Then I twist and go around the original ponytail but there is alot of hair that is sticking out.

How could I do this so it doesn't look so messy?

Hi hun u may want to try one of these

They are called donuts.

You can actually make a homemade one by cutting the toe off a sock

You then roll the sock into a perfect donut.

Give your daughter a pony tail slip the donut on then use her hair to cover it.

Secure with bobby pins or a nice scrunchy.

Before I pull my hair into a bun, since it's layered, I twist the ponytail, and then twist it around itself to form the bun. It works for getting most of the strays in the bun. Anything else sticking out, I either tuck into the bun, or pin down. I've never seen those nets to put over buns before, but I'm sure they'd be very helpful!

I used to wear those things in my hair when I was but a tiny dancer. I loved them. I used to wear them to school and everything because they made me feel like a ballerina.

make the bun smaller?

hmm.. i wear a bun or ponytail everyday so you would think i would have a better tip lol

Sweet! I often spot out those little girls in Tokyo they attend to ballet class because of the bun and they look so adorable. I love the way they always have their back and head nicely lifted.
