I recently tried this and was amazed by the effect. DO NOT try this if you have sensitive skin, growing blemishes etc (you can always leave out the are of the blemish of course). I mainly used this to get rid of old acne marks.

I used my Mary Kay microdermbrasion by putting it on a little face "loofah", those kinda hard sponge type things made out of some natural material. You put them in water for a few seconds and they soften up and get bigger, then put the microdermabrasion product on it. I scrubbed my face kinda hard with it for 1 minute or 2.

It made a noticeable effort compared to just using your fingers to rub in your microdermabrasion product.

Btw, someone on here said Mary Kay´s and MAC´s Microdermabrasion products are very similar. IMO Mary Kay is the best (I also tried L´Oreal and it was similar to MAC´s), it has very fine granules so you get more "scrubbing" material there.

If anyone with non-sensitive skin like mine tries this, let me know if worked for you as well, ok? I´m curious to see what you think.

I'm going to try this when I finally get around to using my dr. brandt microdermabrasion. I'm always scrubbing harder than I should and leaving products on longer than I'm supposed to, with great results, so I bet this tip will work =).

lol, I`m glad I´m not the only one. I leave my Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque on my face for like an hour instead of the recommended 10min.

Andi, so glad you like our Microderm. I use it all the time. I'm going to try using a loofah. I never thought of that.

thanx Andi. I tried this the first day i got my Dr. Brandt MDB in a Jar and it was great , but i felt like i had to use more product since the sponge seemed to soak it up... and @ $80 a Jar ... i wanted to use as little as possible. I might have to try it again since it seems to work so great for u

I dampened my skin and used a little too much force with the baking soda exfoliation method I use. My face was sore, so I cooled it down by washing with Noxema. The next day my skin was glorious! I would have never naturally used that much baking soda or force, but it really did exfoliate well. Good advice!

glad it worked! For some reason baking soda always burns quite a bit for like 30sec, even if I barely rub it in, but I just used it and scrubbed my face with the face loofah. Yeah it burnt even more (stupid baking soda!) but hey I´d do anything for good skin.

thanks for the tip delphine! i usually get it done by a professional, i ddnt know i could do it myself.

yup I love it. I have used L´Oreal´s and MAC`s microdermabrasions and Mary Kay is definitely the one that works best for me

OMG I just ordered this from Jeansguyokc. He is suppose to bring it to me today. After reading this now I can't wait. I have used L' Oreal's before and it was ok. Never tried MAC"S though, but I'm usually not happy with stuff I buy from MAC.

Never tried baking soda either.
