Have any of your tried the MAC eye creams/lotions like Moisture Feed etc? Which do you like the best?

I am currently using L'ancome Resolution eye and it is irritating my eyes, it has the tendency to make the skin around my eyes burn a little (NOT pleasant).

Is there any other eye cream that you guys would rec? Mainly moisturizing is what I am looking for, but anti-wrinkle would be nice as well...

This is a good question as MUA have always told me I have very dry skin around my eyes. I really do notice it as well but it really hits home when someone tells u hehe. I'd love to find a really rich eye cream or balm. Perferably something for under makeup.

i like the fast resonse eye cream. it has caffeine to help reduce puffiness and has a silcone type product to help smooth out the skin.

Hey honey, i'm thinking you might get a better response to this question in the skincare forum because eye creams are skincare, right?! Wanna move it?

Oh and i'm no help regarding the post because i havent started using eye creams yet but i do think you should bin that Lancome one ASAP if its giving you a burning sensation.

Trust me, that thing is going in the bin! I have noticed it is really uncomfy when I have taken off my eye makeup with L'ancome's Bi Facil. Which is a little weird as I would think that bc it is made by the same company, they wouldn't irritate each other...

Actually after i posted that earlier, i re-read the title and you're talking about using it under e/s so i guess it is a make up related question! I'll leave it up to you honey, whichever you think is best :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

doesn't bother me... If you think it might get a better response there since it was an eye cream question, then move it on over...

I was torn about where to put it, so I thought I would take a chance here...

:icon_conf DEFINITELY toss the Lancome one. I had the same problem with their eye creams, and I used to work as an artist on their promotions and got some for free! Try some of the more gentle lines like Origins, Clinique, Lush has a naturally based one, even L'oreal and Neutragena have some nice eye creams.Don't be afraid to try something off the beaten path. Sometimes you might stumble on something great. Also you might try a vitamin serum UNDER your eye cream, I know it helped me a lot because I have dryness under my eyes. A lot of the time not only can it be the ingredients but if can be any fragrance OR the way you apply it. Be sure not to get it into your eye or in too close. A good bet that works for me when I need a really rich eye cream is your local health food store that carries skin care. They have some really nice one with Vit E, C, different extracts and more. If all else fails, Tyra Banks the top model and her mother use (if you can believe!) a thin film of vaseline under their eyes at night! I imagine they put a antiaging serum or something on first, let dry and then the vaseline but they aren't looking too bad ! so... But be sure to lose the Lancome, red, irritated, itchy, burning eyes looks good on no one! I hope you find a system that works. Try www.paulaschoice.com , they have some good products that don't irritate and have good ingredients and there are quite a bit of people here that have used her products. I use one of them (the skin lightening gel-oil free) and really like it. Take Care!:icon_chee Chermarie

:icon_surp I haven't tried the MAC eye creams but I used to do the promotions as a freelance artist for Lancome and I gave their eye cream away to friends! (and I got it for free!)It made my eyes itch and irritated. I would definitely toss it. I have had good luck with some of the gentler, fragrance free lines because Lancome is notorious for putting fragrance in everything. It is sometimes not just the fragrance but the ingredients too. I know Origins, Clinique, L'Oreal, Lush, Neutragena, and some Prescriptives formulas worked well. Another place I had good luck was the local health food store that carried a good variety of skin care. They usually have soothing ingredients like chamomile, and vitamins and other extracts like cucumber. And you can try the testers for the richest one and the ones that address the issues you have. Burts bees is a good but it is an ointment and is too thick and emollient for day. www.paulaschoice.com has some good creams with good ingredients and very little irritants. I use the skin lightening gel - oil free and it works great. Look around and try testers or request samples. Clarins was good as well. I LIVE in eye cream, I even use any leftover that might be on my finger on my lips. Finding a good cream (and using a great anti-aging serum underneath works!), people NEVER guess my age! Test them, try them (BE SURE THEY HAVE A GOOD RETURN POLICY! JUST IN CASE) and with luck you will find your HG. I know a girl at Sephora recommended one that she says was the bomb and was actually for men but she said it was excellent and used it herself. I don't remember the name but if I find it I will send the name to you. So, don't be afraid to look in odd places! I know I read a review on Mary Kay Satin eye 2 part system and it got very good reviews. I hope you find your HG and love it! Good luck on the search:icon_love Chermarie

Thanks guys and Chermarie! I will definitely check out a health food store and see what I can find...

Chermarie, can I ask what you use as eye cream/serum?

:icon_bigg Hi! Sure! I have oily skin but am dry around my eyes. I always use a serum on my face and around my eyes before my cream so I use that first, like a vit A (retinol) or Vit C (Philosophy makes a serum called "when hope is not enough" and it absorbs right in and has A,C, peptides and more so it makes it easy to get it all), then I use Principal Secret because it is oil free, fragrance free and non greasy and made for sensitive eyes and contact wearers. It comes in a tube so if you need, take it with so you can touch up during the day if the air is dry. If I am really dry I pat on hope in a jar for eyes and lips lightly over the top of the P.S. and it seems to do pretty well. At night I use one from the health food store by Nature's gate called Gingko ultimate eye cream. It comes in a pump so no bacteria gets to it and I might mix it with some Vit C powder when I think I need it (made by a few cosmetic companies like Philosophy, Aloette and some others). I have dark circles so I use something for that at night with it. I know it sounds confusing but basically it is just: serum and the P.S. advanced eye cream AM, then at PM the serum and the Nature's Gate Gingko eye cream. I add the Vit C powder or pat the hope in a jar for eyes and lips on when I need a little something more. If you are VERY dry you can layer the "hope for eyes" on over either one everyday, AM and PM. It is pretty emollient and keeps it moist. But then so is the Nature's Gate so I haven't had the need to put it over that. I hope that isn't too confusing and it helped. Also I have found that my skin needs to change skin care every so often because sometimes after a while it just kind of plateaus. So, I switch products to some that I know work for me when I see that my skin is not looking "alive". Just like your hair gets "used to" some products and they stop working and you have to take a break from them, so does your skin. So, it is a good thing to have a back up to switch to for a bit. Just stay away from the fragranced lines and if you can find out what ingredients are in a product that causes you problems (usually it is in the begining ingredients, the closer to the end of the list the less there is in the product), try to find things that don't have those things OR HAVE VERY LITTLE AND ALWAYS CHECK FOR FRAGRANCE. Also, I was using an eye cream by Clinique before Principal Secret and it worked really well! I don't remember the name, but they have a few different ones and the MA can help you find the best for you. Unfortunately Lancome seems to have the most irritants in it's products. L'Oreal is made by the same company as Lancome (!) but without most of the irritants and the high price tag. And L'oreal makes a good eye cream. I liked Neutragena's copper one too. So, anyway, see what works for you and make sure they have a good return policy should you not like it. If you want to try Principal Secret, call their number and ask for a catalog so you can pick out the one you want to try, they have a few. I use the Reclaim eye conditioner (which comes in a pump container, the reclaim eye cream is too thick and has no slip) or the Advanced eye in the tube or the Advanced eye conditioner (also in a pump) and they have never given me ANY problem, they are VERY gentle. Give them a try and also try the Nature's gate at night. It is very inexpensive, has chamomile and other stuff in it and is also VERY gentle and moisturizing. You might even find you like it for day use too! I hope I haven't given you too much to ponder! And that it has helped you some:icon_wink , Good luck on your eye cream quest! Hugs:icon_love Chermarie

try Avene soin apaisant , its for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers ..dont burn or tingle or anything at all even if you apply it straight to your eyeball lol its made with thermal spring water :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I saw results after using for it 1 day ..I wrote a thread about it somewhere...

Havn´t tried MAC eye creams, but I have tried one from Lancome that I definitely didn´t like.

The ones I have liked are Cliniques All about eyes (don´t like that its in a pot) and Estee Lauder Uncircle Eyethreatment.

Don´t know if they´re enough if you´re really dry around your eyes, I´m only using them to make makeup go on smother and (hopefully) help a little against my oh so dark circles under my eyes.

quite honestly, my eyes are not superdry, actually my lids are rather oily. And I can get away with not wearing eye creams.

I am more looking for something to help my undereye concealer and eye makeup go on better and maybe help my dark circles.

I've tried:

M.A.C's fast eye response no results

Netrogena's eye revitalizing treatment no results

Dermactin-TS serious dark circles and eye puffiness no results

St. Ives Eye and Face Stress Gel no results
