Now, I had a talk with them earlier this week and i inquired about fotofacials. NOw what are fotofacials? Basically they use a cooling gel on your face and they use this equipment that shoot lasers on your skin..well that's the jist of it. It doesn't hurt and you only get a warming sensation but it gets ride of sun damage, fine wrinkles, rosacea and other skin problems. Now you need 5 treatments to see a difference and they quoted me for 1500 bux for 5 treatments. they seem to be fairly pushy and the lady even said she would put in a free chemical peel. she said..everyone should experience it once..but i'm really really against it..and I don't know why she was pressing it...seems kinda odd...
Anyone ever received chemical peels? anyone ever had a Lumity Med spa experience and if so, what did you go in for?
Well anyway...
Now, I did my 'net research and found that fotofacials are not even proven...but now there is this product called Potrait PSR3. They use plasma. basically, they use a numbing cream ( I believe) and it's similiar to fotofacials except the equipment doesn't touch your skin and your whole face can be done in 15-20 minutes and can be done in one treatment in a high intensity light....or 2-3 treatments in medium to low intensity light...the only difference is that your face won't redden up in comparison to one treatment. Now the perk of this method?
It works up to one year and your skin gets better over time. Your skin looks noticeable better after the treatment and in 3 months..it gets a lot better and fills in fine lines and get rids of sun damage and so forth. I definitely want this treatment..but at 1200 bux a pop..i'm kinda..contemplating on the idea. They use plasma for this method..mainly cuz it is readily available.
Now if you want this done..only selected doctors will do it..part of it is because it's a fairly new thing but getting all the rave.
anyone hear anything about this?
