My friend is a huge 'Sex and the City' fan and absolutely adores Sarah Jessica Parker! She mentioned how she would love to try her new fragrance, Lovely. So, when I went Christmas shopping a few days ago, I stopped by Macy's to possibly pick this up as a gift for her. I sampled it on paper and myself and unfortunately, I was not blown away. It was a really, really light OK scent. The bottle was OK too. Everything about it was just OK. I'm not sure if my friend would like this perfume or not. Should I take a gamble and buy it for her? While I think it's OK, she may love it! Or, should I pass on it and get something else? Thank you! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 
maybe you can stick to a sex and the city theme,like some dvds.Or a gift basket with that theme that you can put together your self.is she single?

But....I was disappointed with the fragrance too.I bought a sample on ebay, and was really happy that I didn`t go with the big bottle.

i love SATC as well, but if the perfume is not so great i will settle for the lotion or the DVDs :icon_bigg

 
thats weird everything i heard about this perfume was good, alot of people i know are saying it smells really good but i didnt get a chance to smell it yet:icon_love

 
perfect ,maybe you could make her a basket with some single girl ecentuals.Like a Sex and the city dvd,martini glass,bath bubbles.stuff of that nature,you can make it fun:)

 
That was a good idea to try a sample first! I'm a little apprehensive about getting a big ol' bottle.

 
You can get the DVCD's for cheap at Walmart. Also, if she is an avid fan, you can get her the necklance that SJP wore on the shop. Here is the website and their prices arent that bad.

 
I know! I saw an episode of Oprah where she raved about this scent, so I was psyched to test it out for my friend in the stores. When I went to Macy's, all of the Sales Associates were so excited and saying how much they loved this perfume. I wish I could have loved it, but to me it was just OK. :icon_neut

 
i like the dvd with someother things with it

are you guys of legal drinking age? if you are, it would be really cute if you got her like martini glasses with cosmo mix and all of that

Sure thing... I love the horseshoe one too. Also Target sells them for a reasonable price.

 
lol i love stuff like that, you know that romantic stuff even if its like some cheap thing but means alot i love it!
