I have read that a facial product can take up to 8 weeks to show an improvement in the skin. So does it make sense that it take 4 weeks to show that a product is not beneficial to the skin - I'm not sure.

However, if the lotion is quite emollient it may be cogging pores. It just takes time for a break out to result.

Hope my info helped

Thank you for writing. It does make sense. Love the way my skin feels and it did fix the dryness. This makes me very :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I think it's probably been clogging your pores very slowly over time. Is it an anti-acne one? If it is, that just might be your skin purging.

Sorry to hear that. I hate to disagree, but I think if you were going to have a problem with the product, as far as making you break out, it would've shown up much quicker than that. It doesn't take 4 weeks for a product to clog your pores. Was your period due, did you go off the pill, did you stop drinking lots of water?? There are so many things that could cause a breakout.

I would try stopping the lotion, see if your face clears up, if so, try the lotion again and see what happens, just to make sure it's that and not something else. JMHO....

Thanks for writing everyone. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have problems with dryness for years. I have oily skin with dry surface. I have tried several lotions from the drug store but they don’t fix my dryness and two of them burned my face. I still have two big brown marks from Oil of Olay. So I decided to buy something more expensive thinking that they might be better.

The one that might have caused the blemishes is a lotion from Chanel. It’s not an anti-acne lotion. For 4 weeks I used this new lotion and it fix the dryness but then I stared seeing this little bumps on my forehead 3 days before my period, but I don’t get blemishes during my period anymore, I’m 30 years old. Two weeks later and I was still getting more of this bumps but they were getting bigger. I stopped using the lotion and deep cleaned my face, and a week later my face started to clear. Also during this time I stop taking my vitamins. And I don’t drink a lot of water. So I don’t know if it was the lotion. :scared:

Forgot to mention, when I started using this lotion I also started using a cleanser by Neutrogena and I also stop using it at the same time I stopped using the lotion, because I thought it wasn’t cleaning enough.

Thanks, I will follow Kaville’s advice, I will leave it for a while then use it again to make sure is not the lotion, because this lotion is great for dry skin. I did a lot of things at the same time :tocktock:

This is interesting.........I think it could be the Neutrogena. I always break out from neutrogena cleansing products.

Oh! Ok. I’ll start using the lotion and not the Neutrogena cleanser and see what happens. I thought perhaps the lotion was too rich and ask for samples of other Chanel lotions and I’m using them. And my face is still clearing. Thank you so much for your comment; I was going to buy more stuff from Neutrogena.

Chic Chica I hope you don’t mind me asking, which cleanser do you use?
