I don't shave daily, so I'm curious as to if that's the reason why my skin is so sensitive... but that's not the question. my question is, whenever I shave and apply lotion, my skin stings like all heck for atleast half an hour. I use Olay Quench. I had a bottle of Burt's Bees Milk and Honey body lotion, and I thought to use it one day after shaving because I love the way it smells, but it's really overpowering - it didn't sting at all.

So I'm wondering, is there any body lotion out there that I should try, that's natural, non-scented, and doesn't sting after shaving/showering? I would like to stick with drug-store brands, too.

i mostly wax .. so i have no idea.

but i usually don't put anything on after i wax, cuz like u said .. i'm scared it's gonna burn cuz i have super sensitive skin

edit : i forgot to mention .. maybe try something like bikini zone after shaving

are u shaving your legs or ... bikini .. sorri .. i forgot to ask ... bikini zone just helps w/the bumps ...found in the drugstore.

I've noticed if I don't have at least every other day, I get a nice case of razor burn which therefore stings when I apply lotion... Therefore, I shave daily... Too impatient and anal to let the hair grow long enough to let it be waxed...

I shave with hair conditioner and then apply a lotion or body butter. My fave right now is LUSH dream cream. If you're looking for something natural you can get over the counter I would check your local health food store. Jason's makes an aloe/witch hazel gel that helps prevent razor bumps when applied after shaving. Avalon lotion is really good too and I love all the scents but if you're wanting something unscented they also make one of those.

Avalon Organic Botanicals - THERAPEUTIC HAND & BODY LOTION 12 OZ ON SALE

sorry LVA, I mean my legs LoL. but really, it applies to all my body parts (minus arms). Lisa, thanks for that link, I will try some out.

I don't shave daily, but when I do, I always use a cream or lotion after shaving. I mostly use e-tailer's lotions and creams and have never had a problem with burning or stinging after shaving.

I would try one of the unscented lotions from one of these d/s lines:

aveeno

cetaphil

nivea

eucerin

I used to use Skintimate after shave gel, and that worked pretty good. I hated that burning feeling my legs gave me after I shaved when I put lotion on. It worked quite well although they don't make that product anymore. Nowadays I don't moisturize my legs after I take a shower, its more of like a night time thing now since my skin is so irritated after shaving.
