Hermès in my opinion is a brand that relatively unknown for its fragrances, compared to brands like Dior, Givenchy, Chanel. Recently though through samples, i have discovered it's a brand to be counted with.
First i can suggest the Cologne "Eau de pamplemousse rose" (pink grapefruit). I am not such a fan of grapefruit, but this cologne is a fresh scent of grapefruit and a hint of floral background notes, strong scent but not overpowering either. When i think Cologne i think about heavy smelling bottles and a strong background of alcohol, i assume i could disinfect a cut and make it smell good with that kind of Cologne, but such is not the case with this one. It is a light and fresh scent that to me is perfect to wake up from the gloomy winter.
The other pick i wanted to share is the newest addition to the "Jardins" (gardens) collection : Un jardin sur le toit. It is very rare i find a sample of a perfume so intoxicating i have to buy the bottle.
Both lines of Cologne and Jardins fragrances can be worn by men as well as women. Oddly enough at Sephora i noticed the Colognes are sold in the men's fragrances, while the Jardins fragrances are sold in the women's section.
These are, i must admit, on the expensive side. But a little seems to go a long way, and compared to cult fragrances such as J'adore or Miss Dior Chérie, i find the pricetags similar. So if you want to settle for a more original fragrance, check these

Other variations such as "Eau de gentiane blanche" and "Eau d'orange verte" are available, they are very nice as well but i do not like them as much.A sparkling and deliciously sharp freshness and a refined floral note of roses. A classical Cologne, standing out thanks to its very modern composition.

This is a blend of wild grasses, apple trees and magnolia. As i grow older i tend to settle for fresh floral/fruity scents, i find the blend much more interesting than just having a fruity or a floral fragrance. This one is also a very fresh eau de toilette. Three other Jardins are available : "Jardin sur le Nil", also fresh, "Jardin en Méditerranée", which is really the Méditerranée in a bottle, and "Jardin après la mousson", a more spicy fragrance.A secret garden, hidden in the heart of the city, in Paris. A fruity, vegetal, floral eau de toilette appreciated by both women and men.
