My mom's birthday is coming up and I need to get her a present. She is in her 50s, so she is very concerned with her skin. I want to get her some product that will help her skin look younger. I completely understand that there are no magical "apply this and look 20 again", but surely there are some creams or something of sort that will help reverse the aging a little. Any advise on what I can buy her? Thank you.

I know the Oil of Olay products are quite popular. One of my favorite creams of theirs is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. It is rich and smooth. Even after a few days it plumps up skin making it look softer. The longer you use it the more it works. You can buy it on amazon, most major drug stores, Walmart, Target, etc.

always try to use natural skin care products. nano skin care products are natural. but keep one thing in mind that before use any skin care product take advice from skin specialist. because not all skin care suits our skins.

I agree to a certain extent that the OLAY range is quite popular among more mature women. The problem with the Oil of Olay and other Olay products is that they are not rigorously tested for allergies and reactions. As a result, if you have sensitive skin or dry skin, you will find Olay products may react to your skin.

However, in my experience, the SHISEIDO Skin Care range is superior in quality. They are heavily allergy tested and are usually oil-free and non-comodegenic (meaning it won't clog up the pores).

For the eyes, I would recommend the Shiseido Skin Care Eye Moisture Recharge. It is very high in moisture and works significantly by reducing the onset of fine lines and puffiness. A little goes a long way and all you need is a pinhead size drop of the product for both eyes. By ensuring there is sufficient moisture, the eyes can look healthy and less wrinkled. It will also prevent the onset of further lines around the eyes.

Remember, healthy eyes and surrounding skin draws away from the rest of the face and makes you look healthier and younger!

As the "anti-wrinkle" cream, I would recommend the Shiseido Skin Care Benefiance range. Under this line, you've got two products: WrinkleResits24 and NutriPerfect. There are heaps of other products under this range and it's important you consult the Shiseido salesperson to identify the product best suited to your needs and condition.

At every age, the 1,2,3 skin care regime (cleanse, tone/balance and moisturiser) should be considered. Talk to your dermatologist about this as cleaner skin with less impurities can slow the onset of aging and wrinkles.

Although Shiseido is my first recommendation, LANCOME and CLINIQUE are also well known for their effective anti-aging solutions. It is best to try a few of the products as testers before buying one. If budget is a concern, Lancome and Clinique would be a better solution since Shiseido can be very costly!

Good luck

I've used several different lines already.. Mary Kay Timewise - not my favorite line. I just didn't feel it did that much for my skin overall, so I didn't buy another round. I have had more luck with Bona Clara so far. It's a relatively new product (and the are slowly expanding their product line), but its age-specific anti-aging skincare which was a really new concept for me.

Other brands I really love for anti-aging goodness are Philosophy, Kiehl's and Bliss. Kiehl's in particular launched some new anti-aging products that have gotten great reviews. I have their Ultra Facial Moisturizer (a basic one that fit my budget at the time) that I use in the winter months. Their products last for a long time!

I hope you are able to find something! I am still periodically switching products to get a sense of what works best for my skin. I know it can be frustrating, but its worth it once you find products that make your skin feel soft and clean, and then helps you feel good :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Let me know how it all works out (and if you find a product that's amazing!)!
