I seem to have chronically chapped lips (not so much dry, but they´re always a bit chapped on the bottom lip, not sure why) used to swear by Carmex until I learned that the menthol it contains can possibly irritate your lips and dry them out further. Plus, it can make your lips tingle, which is a sign of irritation (I also notice it makes my lips more red).

I would recommend a thick lipbalm like Eucerin Aquaphor, something that´s fragrance-free and doesn´t contain anything like menthol or camphor.

You've asked the right girl ! lol i have so many lipbalms right now.

-Burt's Bees lipbalms, my favorite is the honey one, they are cheap and last a really long time

-Nuxe rêve de miel lipbalm, in the pot version, it lasts me a whole year and is a true lip savior, well worth its price.

-Neutrogena lipbalm, very good and quite cheap too.

-Sanoflore nourishing lipbalm, another pot lipbalm that is great and lasts a long time.

-Druide vanilla lipbalm, it's an organic canadian brand :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

-Dr Theiss calendula lipbalm (european brand i don't know its availability in the U.S.)

-Lavera & Logona lipbalms, can't be wrong with those.

-Weleda lipbalm, more expensive but just as good.

All the lipbalms i mention are loaded with butters and waxes, which are great to nourish, protect and repair your lips. Mine are cracked all year round, no matter what i do. These do their job and last a long time on my lips, contrary to others you are constantly reapplying.

^ thanks!

anyway, my Blistex Raspberry Lemonade.. (pardon me, I dunno what term to use) became crumbly..I dunno, when I applied it on my lips, I felt like I have bread crumbs all over them and when the 1st time that crumbly thingy happened, I swallowed a lot of "crumbs". Blegh!

I really dunno how that happened but I'm really pissed because that happened! so.. I'm looking for a nice lip balm that doesn't form crumbs when used for a long time.

Forget about the Druide then, the shea butter inside gets sort of sandy, can't say i'm a big fan of blistex i had the white pot and it got crumbly pretty quickly too. The Nuxe will get crumbly if you forget about it for more than one year, but as it's expiring a year after it's been opened, it's completely normal. You have to remember every beauty product has an expiring date, so anything too old may change in texture.

^thanks for the advice :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

that Burts Bees is available here, I'll try that one..

I'm also lemming for the new Lime flavored Carmex coz I love really sour citrus flavors(not the ones in the Orange family, though)..

I really like The Body Shop's lip balms but they're quite expensive here.

Anyway, has anyone here tried Lotta Luv's Lip Balms? are they any good?

Well Burt's Bees didn't agree with my lips at all. They were still dry and chapped. Carmex is the only thing that seems to work on my chronically dry lips. Other than that I've been using Aquaphor at night and am liking it.

I made my all lip balms after trying so many brands high and low. So far the home made one offers the same quality and sure be the cheapest ^^

I'm very careful about lip balms because I do think they can become addictive.  I like Nivea right now. I put it on just before I go to bed. In the winter when I get more dry... I actually use Nipple Nibblers... that balm/cream that the adult toy parties sells for other purposes. It makes an amazing lip balm... but like Carmex I think it has that ingredient that might dry your lips out more... I'm not sure.  I'm not addicted to it like I was with Carmex. There was a time where I couldn't go an hour without putting some on. Now I only put on lip balm before bed or going out in the sun.
