I did a search and didn't get the answers that I was looking for...so:

How old were you when you started using them?

Do/did they work?

WHY did you start using them?

What's the best one out there?

What the one that we should RUN FAR AWAY from?

What's a cheapie but goodie?

What's the best one for fading the dark areas under ur eyes?

Thanks guys!!!!!!

I started when I was 18 - 19. I used the eye cream primarily for hydration and since I didn't have wrinkles or other problems at that time, pretty much every eye cream I tried was good enough. I just used drug store eye creams - RoC, LO'real, Neutrogena and Olay. They worked pretty much the same for me. Now I use MAC's Fast Response eye cream which is great for fade dark circles.

i started when i was like 14, because my eye area gets really dry.

neturogena eye cream is something i didnt like, it seemed to go bad really quickly.

ive been using clinique's all about eyes for years now, and it works great!

That's a great thread! I really wanna know about the Vichy and the La Roche Posay ones!

Serious Skin Care A-Eye cream- it is simply amazing, the best I have used, and I have tried A LOT of them- contains retinol and triple peptides- I'm almost 29 and have no lines around my eyes

oh- almost forgot-

I was 20 or 21 when I started using eye cream

started to prevent signs of aging

Avon Retroactive serum- does absolutely nothing

and can't think of a cheapie but goodie right now, lol

Excellent thread! I just learned that dark circles can be caused by allergies/sinus infection!!!! Yeah I'm not "getting old" hahah I just need meds :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> But I am looking for a good cream to help so keep the tip coming gals! BTW I bought a sample of laMer eye cream and loved it, anyone use the full size? Is it worth the $$$$????

How old were you when you started using them?

15 or so, started off using eye gels rather than cream since I have oily skin, but I was primarily concerned about dark circles back then (still am!!)

Do/did they work?

Well I dont have any lines yet and I am 27 so I guess maybe they do. I havent found one yet that works long term with dark circles though :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

What's the best one out there?

My favourite so far has been Clinique All About Eyes - mainly because its moisturising enough and is a very good base for makeup. At the moment Im using Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control spf30, cos I figure Im probably going to start worrying about wrinkles soon otherwise!!

What's a cheapie but goodie?

I loved Burts Bees Attar of Roses Repair Serum. Lasts FOREVER dont think I will ever use it up, and it doubles up for around the mouth and as a light moisturiser too..

What's the best one for fading the dark areas under ur eyes?

Tell me!! I want to know!! LOL Not Almay Kinetin Firming and Brightening Cream btw, I might as well have not used this for all the difference it made!

How old were you when you started using them?

19

Do/did they work?

I can't really tell. All I want to do is decrease dark circles, but I don't know if they've changed that much.

WHY did you start using them?

Dark circles

What's the best one out there?

I wish I knew!

What the one that we should RUN FAR AWAY from?

Hylexin, I guess? Because it's definately not worth $95.

What's a cheapie but goodie?

Body Shop vitamin E eye cream

What's the best one for fading the dark areas under ur eyes?

Not hylexin! Haha, it may have done something, but I can't really tell. I'm still looking for the perfect product.

I just ordered some philosophy eye cream. I'm 27 and have some fine lines around my eyes and dark circles, so we'll see if this helps. Although my whole face is really dry and dehydrated lately.

I use it and I love it. I think the price is stupid but it works for me and I'd rather spend out on something that I know works than wasting it on trying others that don't perform as well.

I think i start using it around 20...

I currently use Clinique daily benefit eyes i think.. i dont like it that much but it was cheap

I want to try some other brand too..

How old were you when you started using them?

22

Do/did they work?

i suppose. i noticed my dark circles have reduced.

WHY did you start using them?

Dark circles !! and puffy eyelids sometimes.

What's the best one out there?

hell ! if i knew ...

What the one that we should RUN FAR AWAY from?

Hylexin, because 95€... eyecreams are already so expensive, you don't really need to spend that much money.

What's the best one for fading the dark areas under ur eyes?

i've only tried my gel from Clarins. i'm not sure it works, i don't believe miracle creams exist, but this one helps enough so i don't have the feeling i wasted my money.

How old were you when you started using them?

16

Do/did they work?

Not all, although my HG eye cream, Caudalie Contour Eyes & Lips works amazingly well

WHY did you start using them?

Dry skin around the eye area, dark circles

What's the best one out there?

Personally for my needs, Caudalie eye creams

What the one that we should RUN FAR AWAY from?

Personally, although not strictly an eye cream, vaseline or emu oil- both caused spots around my eyes

What's the best one for fading the dark areas under ur eyes?

Caudalie Contour Eyes & Lips reduced my dark circles within a matter of weeks and has continued to work ever since

how important is it to use an eye cream? I don't now but I'm starting to think myabe i should

I'm 22 and i don't use any eye cream...is this bad?? I don't see any wrinkles yet..but i don't want any!! So if i start using it now would it prevent me from gettin any?

I think as a rule of thumb, you should use an eye cream as the skin is very delicate and does need extra care especially from the sun and elements but it is a personal choice

I look at it that I wouldn't skip sunscreen or moisturiser on the rest of my face, so why ignore my eye area (especially as I'm concerned about premature ageing!)

i definitely need to invest in any eye cream! so far i don't have a regimen. in the past i did use hyelexin (sp) before my wedding and it appeared to work. i only spent the money because i wanted to be flawless in wedding photos.

right now i'm looking to add something permanently to my morning/night routine.

well apparently it's easier to stop wrinkles than to get rid of ones that have already formed.. It's hard to say whether my eye creams have done any good since I'm using them as prevention and I dont have any lines yet. I guess I'll come back to this thread when I'm 40 and I'll be able to tell you, lol!

I have used clarins facial creams and i'm impressed with how much smoother and softer they have made my skin so I have to assume that their eye cream is equally good, but I really couldn't say. It's not like I can touch my eye area and say, 'gee, this feels much softer!' like I can with the rest of my face, LOL.

Best of luck with your eyecream holy grail, let us know if you find a really good one!
