I got my legs waxed for the first time last friday (yay !).

Considering this was the first time and i have sensitive skin, i knew it would hurt (and it did !

). But when i got home, my skin was really itchy and the next morning, i found my legs literally marbled with eczema !

Is that a normal reaction ? I have eczema since i'm a child, so the most annoying for me was to wait until the anti itchiness cream had completely sunk in, but i wanted to know if it's a normal reaction, or if it's a reaction to the wax used (or the dry oil used after) ?

I really like the result, despite some broken hairs, my skin feels smoother than with my usual shaving. I plan to continue waxing them, but i'd like to minimize the red itchy patches or change the product if that's what's causing my eczema.

That sucks! I have never had my legs waxed. Eczema is an allergic reaction so you can either be allergic to the oil or the wax. My suspicion would be that the waxing removed some of your skin's natural protection and the oil irritated it. What kind of oil is it?

I don't know, the stuff was in my back, and it was put away before i could see the bottle. I know the beauty institute i went to uses Yonka products, but it's made of hazelnut oil and different essential oils so it should have a smell, and that one didn't have any.

I suppose next time i'll pack my eczema cream and apply some right after.

Didn't they apply any kind of lotion after they waxed them? Like a soothing, calming, anti skin reaction lotion?
