Hello, Happy Friday! I need help!! I'm looking for a hair product that will lift, separate, and hold my layers in place, once I'm finished washing, drying, and styling my hair. I love that tousled layer look. Any recommendations? Thanks so much, in advance! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

it helps if your hair is layered. otherwise you can start with a thick curling iron and do a slight curling from top.

yeah i love that look to. i used to have layers but could never get that affect with my haiy cause i didnt know how to so i just waited til it grew out and got it one length and just long bangs in the front.

For peicey layers, you should dry it in sections. Work from side to side, from the bottom by your neck, up to the crown. Once it's dry, I like a pomade to help seperate the layers (Paul Mitchell is nice) Put a small amount on your hands, rub together, flip your head over and just put a little on the ends of the layers, and some in the back - then flip over & they should stand out better :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

That's a good idea about drying in sections! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I haven't been doing that. Also, I've used a few Paul Mitchell products that I've really liked, like the Shampoo One and Awapuhi Shampoo. I hope I don't sound stupid, but I've never heard of a Pomade. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> What exactly is it and what does it come in?

Hmmm... well the one Paul Mitchell makes is kind of a creamy liquid... it's just used to give texture to the hair, some shine, etc. It's not stiff or really sticky, but will separate your layers, so you'll see where they end. It's good also when you do the ends flipped out, so stay 'pointy'. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
