You know, I'm not even positive that's what this is, but it's the only explanation I can think of. On my nose I have these very miniscule bumps, you don't see them in most light, I usually notice them mostly in my car mirror, so I guess natural light makes them easier to see. But I've just recently noticed this, so i havent had them all my life or anything. They are really tiny, and you don't notice it unless you're really looking for it, but it bugs me since the rest of my skin is great. None of the images that came up when i searched for large pores looked like my nose, so that didn't help much. So first of all, do you think it's my pores?? And if so, what do you guys think are the best products for reducing them??

If its just little bumps, then maybe your pores are getting clogged, which maybe lead to pimples sooo i sujest that you use a scrub or mask that will clarify the area

That could very well be what it is. Although I don't get actual pimples hardly ever. They are very very very small little bumps. I'll try doing a scrub or a masque tonight. I've got a st ives scrub and a queene helen mint julep masque. So I'll try one of those tonight.

They're probably really tiny whiteheads especially if they're near your t-zone. Occasionally I'll get a couple right near my nose and I use a green clay mask on that area and they're gone the next day.

Can I recommend NOT using the st ives scrub - if it is the apricot one. It will scratch your skin and make it worse.

If you are not allergic to aspirin, try making a paste from a few of the soluble tabs, then using it as a mask. Let it dry, then wet and rub with your fingers - like exfoliating. Rinse well, tone and moisturise. Do this for a couple of days. I do this regularly, it is GREAT for glowing skin and will quickly dry up any spots. The soluble aspirin are better than non-soluble as when you re-wet the mask to scrub and rinse off, it fizzes in your pores and dislodges any gunk. Follow up on blackhead areas with a pore strip if need be.

Good Luck!!

On each of this small raised bump in the middle, is there a pore hole for the oil sebum to come out?

or they are just raised skin bumps?

well on a couple of them the tops are kinda dry lookin and I can kinda scratch at it. But like I said they're sooo tiny. It's kinda like the whole end of my nose is like that, not just 1 or 2 bumps. I can't really see if there are any pore "holes" but like i said it kinda looks like some of the tops are whitish. But not really like a pimple has a white top.

Sounds like maybe your pores are getting clogged. Try a mask and/or a gentle exfoliator. hth

I have a similar problem with you and it only happens on around my nose area too. Use masks and you should be fine.

That is exactly like my nose too

- I have large pores on it & some of it is a little bumpy, but you can only see it if you get really up in my face & inspect it, lol.

I got samples of Differin from my derm last time I saw her so I have been using that & a couple days ago I picked up Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask (can use as a daily cleanser or a mask for oil control/getting into pores). I haven't used it yet but I saw really good reviews on it from somewhere..

Let me know how that stuff works out for ya!

Large pores won't fade away by using any cleansing scrubs or whatever. In the most cases it's a waste of money.

BUT: A soft red powder, carefully applied to the parts of the skin which does have large pores will reduce the visibility of them!! It really works and is much more helpful than scrubs, peelings etc.

Use a tiny/mini micro scrubber to wash your face daily. Anything bigger will be too harsh for the skin. However, scrubber wont make your pores smaller. Best tips I can tell you is stay away from sun.

i badly need to do something about this large pores... its the only problem i have with mineral makeup
