Hey all!

I've read a lot on here about Gycolic peels and some great results. But I haven't heard much about the Lactic peels. I understand that Lactic is for more sensitive skin and clearing pigments? Has anyone used both and preferred one over the other? I don't know which one to bet on.

I've onli used gycolic acid . .. never heard of lactic 'til some1 else mentioned it on this board .... i like glycolic a lot .. .but never tried lactic ......

but if it's any help .. i have very sensitive oily acne combo skin ... LoL

lactic is more for sensitive skin, and for people who are just starting peels. once you get used to feel of it, you can increase to glycolic, which is stronger. they also suggest that people who have hit a plateau with their glycolic peels to try lactic for awhile. i planned on starting my lactic peels, but now i'm kinda scared to since summer is upon us.

i've been using philosophy microdelivery mini peel pads which contain lactic acid and i'm amazed at how quickly my skintone in evening out. i've been using them twice a week for about a month and i started to see marked improvement after the first week. i've never used anything that worked that quickly and i'm very happy with the product. i used glycolic acid mask once and my skin really did peel and it left my skin with flaky patches! it was alittle to agressive for me! sorry, i can't remember the % of glycolic that was in the product.

i always thought that they were basically the same thing. i'm not sure though
