I am planning to dye my hair to an ombre as soon as possible. Like maybe next weekend. I plan to do a dark brown or black up top fading into either a turquoise blue or a pretty magenta/purple. I have no clue what order to go in though or products to use. I will give you a little bit of hair history.

I am 22. I started dying my hair around 13, maybe younger. It was just cheap box dyes that my mom did to give me "blonde" highlights. Turned out to be more of a coppery orange/blonde thing. (lol) I was born with naturally dark hair. It was such a dark brown, it was almost black. As I grew up, it turned more of a dark to medium brown. I've been doing more red shades since I was 17/18. At 18, I put a fire engine red on the under layer. I got that done at a beauty school(BIG MISTAKE). They fried the hell out of my hair and it faded out to an orange within a week, even though it was Matrix or something like that. The last few years, I've been using the Garnier UltraColor(For dark hair) in an auburn. I love my hair so much like that.

My hair is currently pretty healthy and is a faded out auburn. The roots are pretty much dark brown, but my hair isn't growing like it used to. I know I need to bleach, darken, and apply my bright color to the ends. The problem is that I don't know the order to do it. Do I bleach it and start applying the dark up top and the bright to the bottom blending it together? Or do I darken it and then bleach the ends and then do the bright? Do I need to put time/days between the processes? What brands/shades/levels should I use? I have medium to thick hair. It is wavy. I have to be careful with shades for  the darker color. I dyed it dark brown one time and it turned out black and it made my skin look yellow and sickly. So I guess I need warm shades. (Hence why I love auburn. Makes my skin look amazing)

Please let me know if you can help/give advice. If not, I have a friend willing to do it for me, but I don't want it to get messed up and me get upset and blame her.
