well as u probaly all know that ive been to a skin specialist and she said dont wear sunscreen so i went to another one yesterday andd he put me on minomycin tablet and duac gel it contains clindamycin and benzo perioxide and i just put the gel on now my face feels so dry and itchy looks red too so i donttt knoww...

has anyone used this gel before?

She said don't wear sunscreen?? That's the first time I've ever heard that.

I have used clindamycin gel and it worked good for awhile. I haven't used the stuff your talking about. I can't use bp, I don't know why.

Can I ask you what your skin type is and what problem your having with your skin?

By what your on it sounds like pimples and maybe cysts. They put me on clinda to help my cystic acne. Like I said it worked for a while.

Are you on a birth control pill and if so which one? (If you don't mind telling me)

I used clindamycin for a little bit. It worked well. Now my skin is good so I don't have to use it. It's not a continuous thing. You can stop when your skin gets better and don't have to continue to use it to keep your skin looking nice and so the dry skin will just be a temporary thing.

Hey,

I just seen on a post from you that you are trying to lighten your facefrom acne scars. I have acne scars and some indents from a really bad breakout that I had. I never had really bad acne until I changed bc pills and my skin went crazy so I had to switch back to the bc that I knew worked well for my skin.

I am getting fraxel treatment (4) starting tomorrow for the indents and I am told that it will help the acne marks as well. I will tell you how it goes. It is $1500 for four treatments. She said she is giving me a discount. She also said that if some of the red marks are still there then I will get the foto done. She didn't tell me how much tht will cost though.

I did have a tine breakout before the bc thing happened and I went to a derm and he put me on retin a and that made my face completely clear. I still have pictures of my face when I was on that. I mean it's completely clear!

Mouna, if you are having side affects from your medication, tell your pharmacist.

They may know of a moisturizer that you can use, that won't interfere with your medication.

Or they may advise you to start applying medication every other day until your face can tolerate the meds, then start applying daily.

Treat these prescriptions like any other prescription. Always talk to your pharmacist if you are experiencing umpleasant side effects.

$1,500 for 4 treatments, that's so cheap. it can't be that cheap... hm. and fraxel doesn't do much for redmarks.
i paid $4,000 for 5 treatments.

eiraMLisa well i have pimpley skin mostly little ones with a white head some little red one but without a bump looks like a scar to me and sometimes i have big fat ones but like 3 max my skin isnt that oily i actually find it combination and im not on birht control im just on minomycin its a medication for acne yeaah il try what he gave me for 3 month if it doesnt work then ill go back and see what he says i just want to have clear skin before my wedding so at least when i do put the makeup on my wedding it wont look bumpy and cakey i want it to look natural andd i want to wake up the next day next to my husband looking like a human lol

I m sure the derm would help and u will look gorgeous when u have your wedding !!

Hi. I have my last fraxel on the 26th. It hurts sooo bad!! But I am getting great results. I don't have any red marks anymore and my indents are soooo much better. The woman did say that she gave me a good deal. But she said it would have been about $2,500.How are your results? Are you happy you did it? I am, but it did hurt!!! I cried on my third one.
