Alright girls so I used my Ocean Mist samples today.
As you all know oceanmist is a member of MuT so I would like to start with a disclaimer: I DO NOT have any afilliations with this company; just like I have no affiliations with EDM, UD or BE and I still advocate for their products hehehe. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Anyways, I got my samples in the mail yesterday, she was quite quick in shipping them. I got 2 foundations, almond and caramel; 1 medium concealer, and 1 blush in "Vanora".
Almond was lighter than caramel. Caramel looked way too dark for me; and almond looked dark in the container too but I gave it a try today. I used it after applying smashbox photofinish of course. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!!!! The color "almond" was a perfect match for my skin tone (as long as I continue to self tan hehehe); it gave very good coverage; and a very nice, natural finish!!! It stayed relatively put all day like EDM and UD.
Even though the blush Vanora was not very appealing to me on the container, it looked super nice on the skin. It is a matte color; and gave me a natural flush. It lasted for most of the day and had very good pigmentation.
Now how does it compare to my darlings UD and EDM foundations? LOL. If UD is a 9.5 (just because I am still looking for the perfect foundation LOL); EDM is 9.0 and Ocean mist foundation would be an 8.75. Maybe 9.0 ( I need to use it more times in order to form a better opinion).
In any case; I liked this a lot and think this is a very good option for the ones of you out there still on the search for your HG mineral foundation. And the samples are free, you only pay for shipping. Oh and by the way, she also sent me a couple of complimentary e/s samples in little ziplock bags. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I have one suggestion for oceanmist: Maybe you should make your finishing powder available in the sample kit as well; I would have liked to try it instead of the concealer since I dont like mineral concealers in general; so here you go, something for you to work on. LOL
And, of course, here are some pics!!!

And this is how it looked in the end of a work day:

EDIT: I just realized that I got 3 foundation samples instead of 2. LOL. The 3rd one is called Sandstone and it is a bit lighter than Almond, so I will try it this week.
UPDATE: Today I am using Sandstone foundation so here are a couple of pictures. To be honest, I didnt see much of a difference between sandstone and almond. Almond does look a bit darker in the container but on the skin is basically the same. I'm still liking the foundation and blush a lot! I am using Venora blush again today.
