AH! I'm confused. I'm 47 yrs old and have pretty good skin. I laid out in the sun way too much when I was younger and then later.......faked and baked.
So, that left age spots and freckles more so than my genetics did (my mom--she's deceased--she was Irish and had alot of freckles and didn't go out in the sun much).
I've lost weight...35 lbs and want to lose 20 more. I notice that as I lose the weight, my skin is getting saggy.
SO...I've been using Distinction by Leigh Valentine (Man...is her skin gorgeous!) the non-surgical face lift and love it. It really does work.
Neutrogena's Healthy Skin and face lotion with alpha-hydroxy.
Avon's Chemical peels.
Microdermabrasion once in awhile.
And Avon's Anew Line Eliminator with retinol.
But, now.....my skin is firming, but it's dry looking. Even when I put on a moisturizer before applying makeup, it still looks dry and that's really aging-looking.
So,...to add to my skincare routine...is there a good skin re-hydrator out there that doesn't have the chemicals in it that dry out skin?
And.....am I doing too much all at once to my skin? I'm new to the makeup artist world and am constantly learning and learning alot from all of you.
THANK YOU!
