this may be an odd question, but can your face have too much SPF? currently, my morning routine consists of: origins perfect world serum, philosophy hope in a jar and then origins next of skin foundation w/15spf. although i like the philosophy HIAJ, i want to get a moisturizer with spf...(maybe shiseido or biotherm) but if i use a facial moisturizer w/spf plus a foundation w/ spf, is that overkill?

SPFs don't add up.

EG:

Your moisturiser has SPF15 and your foundation has SFP30, you will not have SPF45 protection.

I personally believe that the SPF in a foundation is not enough to protect you.

I'm going to second the last reply. It seems like you are using a lot of products with SPF in but none of them have at least an SPF of 30 which you really should use.

To your question on too much , I don't think having an SPF in each products you use is too much. HTH

I don't feel comfortable knowing only my foundation/MU is providing me with sun protection so I always apply a moisturizer with SPF 15 or 30 plus my mineral foundation with SPF 15. Although they don't add up, I feel comforted knowing if one of them is not that effective, there's a backup, lol.

I start out with SPF 15 moisturizer, then I apply SPF 30 on my upper lip b/c it is being treated by laser hair removal, then I apply my SPF 15 mu. I don't think its a problem.
