Is there an "easier" way to get this look?? PHOTO

Here is the look that I love, however, all in it takes 3+ hours to do. We are talking blowdrying, straightening and curling. My hair is naturally curly and thick and I am wondering if setting a velcro curler in my hair after a shower and blowdrying it a bit and going about my day for a couple hours would get me to this look. I also played with the idea of hot rollers but I am wondering is I would have to straighten my hair before I go that process. Any insight would SO be appreciated. Thank you.

Before using a relaxer, I'd have had to blowout, flatiron, then curl to achieve that look. My hair appeared thick, with super tight and unruly, frizzy curls. It's been close to 2 years since using a Redken treatment and now, if I put my hair in a bun after a wash, it'll air dry loose, but i still take a flat iron to it for this kind of look. Velcro rollers are okay, but i still find they snag in my hair lol, but that's just me and my lack of skill. Hot rollers would probably work better, you'd just want to try larger sized ones, I'd imagine.
