Is it time for a new derm?

So i go in for my derm appointment last week and here's what happened: This little old asian lady (no offense to azns! I'm azn too!) with super frizzy hair and a really strong accent comes out. Not dressed professional or anything...she looks like my grandma! :rotfl: anyway, i went in b/c of my milia and my balding temples. this derm didnt say much of anything. she hands me a pamplet on scalp skin conditions and tells me to read it. Then she leaves the room for 15 mins. She comes back and she's like, "Which one do you think you are?" :kopfkratz: so i tell her which symptoms i thought i had and she writes me a prescription and tells me to come back in 1 month....she wants to give my scalp cortisone injections and she wants to burn my milia off. I think im just shocked at how unprofessional the whole appointment went! Wouldnt a normal derm tell you the cause of milia (Not that i dont know thanks to you fabulous MUA'ers!) and the cause of my balding, etc....some kind of explanation for something! Sheesh! Now im a little worried if i should even go back to her to get my milia burned off or if i should request a new derm! Maybe she's just soooo good she doesnt need to talk? What would u do?

She asked you to diagnose yourself? Wow thats like a hairdresser handing you scissors and saying..,"here, go nuts!" If your the least bit concerned you should try a new one.

I'd look for someone new as well. My derm explains everything to me and has a wonderful bedside manner. You deserve no less!

lol you should go somwhere else to be on the safe side, lol that just reminded me of a similar experience I had but with a manicure.

Um... I'm no professional nor have I been to a derm, but I recommend finding a new one. When in doubt (even with a regular physician), always look for a second opinion or switch doctors!
